Year 2, Sunday wk 10 on the Belly Fat Cure

Hi All,

Well today is not any better than any of the others this past week. I have learned to just keep to myself and stay out of his way. That is sad HUH?

Yesterday by the time Lisa got here it was 1pm. Too late to go hiking like we planed. We just hung out in the back yard watching all the dogs play. Very cute. This is all 4 of them.

Then we went to the movies. Saw Hop (the one with the Easter bunny) - it was very cute.

Ok so, Hubby and I talked this morning after I started typing this. We decided to make a fresh start and no more fighting. He promised to try real hard to communicate instead of holding it in all the time.

So we went to run an errand and then HE wanted to go see a movie. So we went to see the Source Code (Very Good)! The he dropped me off to do my nails. They actually had my favorite color in the jel that I have been getting done - PURPLE!! This will be my 3rd time having my nails done in many many years.

This morning I had some cream of wheat w/truvia, cinnamon, some ground flax seed and chia seeds for extra fiber, and some turkey bacon and 8 blackberries, of course coffee, blah, blah, blah.

No lunch - we were at the movies, and of course I had popcorn. And yesterday too! that makes 2 days in a row of popcorn. I am sure I will pay for that in the morning for my Monday weigh-in.

We plan  on going out to dinner in a few minutes. He wants to go to Lucille's BBQ. I am not sure what I can eat there - but I will tell you tomorrow.

Oh and By The Way it's his 56th birthday today.

  2. I'm glad to read that you two are celebrating his birthday together. BBQ food is a tough one when you're watching sugar. I'll be interested to hear what your food choices are this evening.I always like to hear new ideas.Darlene

  3. Glad you and your hubby made up. :) I know its rough when two people don't agree on certain subjects. I go through that all the time. I like your new background. I meant to tell you that a while back. :) Usually at the bbq places you can have the smoked ribs, that is what I got at the last bbq place I went. I am sure you found something yum! Happy bday to your hubby.

    I got my nails done with gel before and its really nice, doesn't chip so fast like a regular manicure. You will have to show a picture of the purple nails. :)

  4. Happy Birthday to your hubby! Glad you guys talked about it. It eventually has to be said, but sometimes it takes awhile to get there. Glad to hear he is open minded to try to improve on his communication skills. Men aren't very good at that u know! Or I should say, most men suck at talking about important things. It's a great beginning. I love that gang! They all look like long time pals, and the type of dogs that love to play! Have a great week.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
