I am sorry for those of you that are still having bad weather, but its gonna be 90 around here in Chino Hills, Ca today. A little too warm for me - I like it below 80 unless you are going swimming.
Remember about 2 weeks ago I said I had to get a mammogram? Well last week I got a letter saying that I had to go back because there was an abnormality. Woa - I was a little nervous. I went back yesterday morning. I had to go directly to the hospital so they could give me the results immediately. Thank goodness that everything was OK.
So I ran a few errands on the way home and just spent the rest of the day online looking for a job. I think if I could just get an interview I might have some luck.
Then around 4pm my 2 dogs come over and start making those cute faces and doing that doggie voodoo on me - "mom don't you know what time it is?" They really can tell time you know. So I said "you are right I need a break away from this computer". So we went for our walk and it was very nice.
What I ate yesterday:
breakfast; smart and delicious wheat tortilla w/cheese and turkey bacon and avocado inside, with 8 blackberries and 2 hard boiled eggs, coffee, blah, blah, blah.
lunch; pizza made with a sara lee wheat pita, seeds of change pasta sauce, turkey pepperoni, and cheese, and some veggie chips dipped in a little sour cream.
dinner; spinach salad w/ feta, bacon bits, and some asiago cheese dressing (2 sugars in the dressing). after I had my 2 squares of Lindt 85% dark chocolate and some white and chocolate rediwhip.
Thanks for the nice comments and encouragement.
Kay: I hope we both find a job soon. I have always ate all types of weird food so those tortillas taste good to me. Melt cheese in them and add some avocado inside - it will be better that way.
Sherri: maybe after you finish losing, your foot might not hurt as much and you can go walking too. I hope so.
Kasey: Maybe a weight clinic would be a good idea, I am gonna try that today But Lisa works at the Childrens hospital of LA, so I guess they probably don't have that there.
Well I have to go take care of the bills, balance the check book, then back to looking for a job.
Thanks for listening. Lots of love to all of you..Muuaahh! Please leave your comments.
My thought for the day:
There is only one success–to be able to spend your life in your own way.
Keep on BFC ' n :-)

No Cali is hot too! I was sweating like a pig yesterday and we are headed down to San Diego tonight. I packed summer clothes for us all! Rosie maybe we will sweat off the final few lbs! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the pizzas on the BFC! Sometimes I use the Smart & Delicious tortillas instead of pita. They arent the tastiest thing around, but they are SO high in fiber that they are usually worth it.
Recently I used Lavash for pizza, but they are lower in fiber, higher in carbs but still just barely okay on the plan. But they were really good.
My weight today is 263.4 lbs (I am only weighing once a month now because the ups and downs were too emotional for me every Monday). Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteGlad your mammo was ok. That is a scary thing for sure but so happy it is alright. We have snow again here in Pa....uggh!! I have totally had enough!! Wish I was in your 90 degree heat. Enjoy it and know that I am jealous!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day & good luck in the job hunt!
((Sherri))
Hubby and I joke all the time about wanting to fly down to CA and stay at this amazing B&B, I guess with such nice weather this weekend would be perfect:)
ReplyDeleteKudos for looking for a job, I know how scary, overwhelming and frustrating that can be. I was in that boat only a few short weeks ago. I am sure something that you would enjoy doing will turn up :)
I had that same mammo thing happen to me. They called me back to repeat it and do an ultra sound. I was terrified. 2 of my very dear lifetime friends have survived breast cancer. They are awesome women!
ReplyDeleteI love the 80's for weather too. 90 is too hot for me. I am a sun worshiper, I know that's bad, but 90 is just too darn hot....and I don't have a pool....unless you count my little blow up one I keep for the grandkids:)
