Good Morning 7 listeners,

  • First I wanted to post my morning breakfast: 2 turkey bacon, 2 eggs w/cheese, smart and delicious wheat tortilla w/cheese, 8 blackberries, and my coffee, blah, blah, blah.Yes I cook my turkey bacon in the microwave between 2 paper towels for 2.3 min. That way its real crispy - just the way I like it!
  • Yesterday I had to go pick up my son: He's 28 years old and I don't know if you remember, he got into some trouble and needed help getting his crap together. We helped him and then he left and f--d it all up again. I picked him up in a bad place and he had no money, cell phone or car. So here we go again - what is this round 3 or 4?? I felt like if I didn't go and get him - he would wind up dead and then I would blame myself. 26 years ago my brother who was around the same age at the time, called me up and begged me if he could stay on my couch. I said no cause my marriage at the time was falling apart. 2 weeks later I got a call - he was dead. I just couldn't ;let that happen again - no matter what my son has done.
  • So on a lighter note - remember that email that you guys made me send to Jorge for the success stories he was looking for?? Well this guy Oliver emailed me back and said my story was amazing and he wanted to see some additional before and after photos before he sends it to Jorge. So of course I hardly have any. Every time I saw them - I deleted them cause I looked terrible. My sister Lisa sent some to me - so here I go....

  • I am just like you: I am just a regular person that got way too fat. Evey time I look at these kind of pictures, I am in shock because I never realized that I looked like that. I knew I was heavy, but I guess because I accepted myself the way I was and I always deleted pictures of myself. I just knew that would never change.I never realized that this is how other people saw me and I get emotional.
  • But look at me today: This is a photo of me in the mirror this morning. Sorry girls - no make up.

  • Come - on People !! Join me by not giving up and I want to see all of your before and after photos too!!

  3. Hi Rosalie! I have posted before and said I was going to commit to the BFC and then I gave up. Well I am back! (So now you have 8 listeners!!!) I have 150 lbs. to lose and I am 51 years old (although I can't believe I'm that old!) Anyway, I would like to join team BFC and get rid of this weight once and for all! I am like you in that when I see pictures of myself I can't believe it is me. I also have a 28 year old son who is having problems making it on his own (for the 3rd time)! So I understand what you are going through!

  6. Rosalie---YOU ROCK!!! You truly are an inspiration! I have followed you (and the BFC way) for about 13 weeks. The weight is coming off slowly, but its coming off. I want to thank you for the encouragement, dedication and support that you give all of your followers (which I'm positive are more than you know!). I hope to one day bump into you so I too can hear about your weight loss journey!

  7. Thanks for all of your inspiration. You are truly a role model. I started BFC a week ago and have lost 3 pounds so far. I love eating this way. I cannot believe I can eat nuts, cheese, bacon and have heavy cream in my coffee and lose weight. I am in heaven. I love your blog and read it every day.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
