Maria was here yesterday and goes back home today. She is flying later this afternoon and I sure hope that my younger sister, Kattie will be there to pick her up.
I just got back from the doctor. I went for a physical (kind of) on Monday afternoon. After losing so much weight, I took Amber's advise and decided to get a check up. The doctor said I was doing great and was impressed with all the weight loss.
So I was supposed to get my blood work yesterday morning. You need to fast for 12 hours with nothing except water. That is not a problem cause I stop eating by 7 or 7:30pm. So Monday night I went up to bed and made myself a cup of decaf tea and was laying in bed trying to relax and sipping it - then I said " Oh Darn". I forgot nothing except water. So I had to do my blood work this morning.
After that I went to another Kaiser facility for a booby squish. Woo Hoo! Not my favorite thing, but us girls have to do it. So I am now home and Maria is still sleeping. Hubby went to do some stuff, and I am waiting for the painter to fix the garage door. The paint kind-of drooped on one of the panels.
Yesterday I ate:
breakfast; 2 eggs, 1/2 avocado, 2 slices of Oasis low carb sprouted flaxseed bread, w/ butter and Natures hollow sugar free preserves, and 2 turkey bacon and 8 blackberries. And of course coffee with the usual stuff, and all my vitamins, probiotics, and 2 Reslina every morning.
lunch; 1 tamale
snack; cheese and some walnuts
dinner; chicken, green beans, and a little bit of cabbage, and a little piece of roast beef. We were at the buffet. Then I cheated and had about 3 bites of pecan pie.
I will be sure to let you all know the results of the blood tests. I am very curious myself. Some people think that what we are doing is not healthy or too extreme. All I know is that I feel great and can't wait to see the numbers to prove it.
Thanks for always listening. Lots of love to all. Please leave your comments.
My thought for the day:
The day will come, when the risk to remain tight in a bud is more painful than the risk it takes to Blossom.
Keep on BFC ' n :-)

Glad to hear you are feeling a little better today Rosalie. I know that this too will pass. Question for you...how is the Natures Hollow preserves and do you buy yours locally or from Amazon? they dont sell them here where I live so I am curious if they are worth it. We are going up to Cleveland next month for a Trader Joes trip. I cant wait!!! LOVE TJs and they have a fantastic low carb, 0 sugar sprouted ww bread that is fabulous!! Im gonna buy a boatload of it! Also, found a really great pita at Walmart that is worthy of sharing. Its a 0/1 SC value for 1 decent size pita (about the size of a lunch plate)and it has flax seed and omegas in it & no artificial junk. I made a mini pizza today on it and it was lip smackin good and only 2/1 SC value (the sugar from the 2 T pizza sce) and 7 WW points. (Im still counting both!) I am going to post the pics and the info on the pitas on my blog tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day!!
Sending you a ((BIG HUG))
Yes glad your feeling a bit better today! :)
ReplyDeleteHaha to your comment "the booby squish" that really made me laugh.
Your breakfast sounds great!! I need to eat a big breakfast like that instead of my small high calories breakfasts like a quick bite from McDonalds or Quiktrip. But morning are always rushed for me. I will work on it.
Hope you bloodwork has great results! :)
@Sherri, yes I would love to hear more about those tortillas. :)
Yes the Natures Hollow is awesome! All the flavors tastes great. I buy mine from Henry's market which is going to change into Sprouts. What ever it costs - I will buy it.
ReplyDeleteIt is expensive to be healthy :-)
Whats your favorite flavor Rosalie? I may order some from Amazon.
ReplyDeletePeach and rasberry :-)
ReplyDeleteJust wondering if you had a blood profile workup done before you started the BFC, and were your sugars or cholesterol high then? It will be great to know the changes that have been going on inside our physical bodies, while we continue to lose weight. We can surely see the amazing change that you've accomplished in one years time on the outside, can't wait to hear those numbers. You have probably added ten years to your life just by losing that stubborn belly fat. I've got to make a Dr. appt. too, for the booby squish! HeHe...
