Year 2, Saturday wk 3 on the Belly Fat Cure

Good Morning everybody,

I hope everyone is going to try to have a good weekend. I realize that you all don't have the warm weather that we do over here in Southern California. Today it's supposed to be 77, crazy right?

I was watching the news this morning and they were talking about all these fad celebrity diets. Well - they didn't mention the Belly Fat Cure, so I guess thats good.

For those of you that are new to my blog, I always speak my mind, whether it be good or bad. I really love that I found the Belly Fat Cure. I can't believe that I actually lost 80lbs in 1 years time.

But over the course of the past year I have met many, many people that were doing the BFC also. Everyone always starts out all gung-ho and ready to do it, but then they realize that it is not all that easy. Eventually they all fall off one at a time.

I am very proud of you that have stuck with it. I think the hard part is that it kind of does feel like a DIET. In the sense that we can't eat what everyone else eats. We get around other people and other places, like restaurants or stores and see and smell that great unhealthy food that made us fat in the first place.

So I think that's where those that have fallen off go wrong. You can't give in to those temptations. You can allow yourself to just take 1 or 2 bites at those hard times, but you must stop there! Don't listen to those of them that say "just 1 time won't kill you". I am here to say that it will kill your diet. It will be so hard to recover and come back to the normal BFC eating.

The one thing I have learned from doing the Belly Fat Cure is self control and will power. That is what we need to do is to stay in control of ourselves, our eating habits.

No matter what you chose to do, whether it be the Belly Fay Cure or something else, We need to stay in control of what we put in pour mouths.  THAT'S ALL!!

Great work to all of you losers this past week!! Keep up the great job!!

Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help you with your weight loss.

Thanks for listening. Lots of love to all of you. Please leave your comments.

My thought for the day:

WE CAN DO THIS!!

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  1. I think that, for me, in the approx. 9 mo. of time that I have done it, the BFC really took away most of my cravings for any kind of unhealthy food. When I did eat unhealthy food, it literally made me sick. I don't see the BFC as a diet, for me, it really is a lifestyle. I have lost more weight with the BFC than with any other plan I ever tried, (and I've tried them all) and I have been able to do it wih success longer than any other plan I have ever tried. I have experimented with the FT for the last month, and I like it too. Both plans make sense, and both work. I will never go back to eating conventionally again. I feel better than I ever have. And whenever I see how great you look Rosalie and read your words, I am inspired to keep on keeping on. Have a great weekend in that warm Cali weather!

  2. Rosalie,
You are an inspiration...the fact that you share your ups and downs is so helpful. I wish Jorge hadn't said in the bfc that you could lose 4-9 lbs every week...because I was discouraged when I didn't. But then I stumbled across your blog and I was so encouraged by you. I have kept up the bfc even when it felt that nothing was happening.
The bfc is a committment basically I have learned that we have to give up fake sugar permanently and always be mindful of real sugar and better carbs. I think this is hard for some people because they are only willing to make these changes until they lose the weight they want or fit back into their clothes again.
We can do this...we can bfc our way to fitting into our clothes the way we want and to better health!!!!!

  3. I'm 62 and also have been doing bfc for about a year. My current weight is 185 which is a total of 27 pounds lost. It's been very slow, but it's 27 pounds more than I've lost in many years. I don't find myself hoping that I can lose the weight and get back to a "normal" way of eating. I don't ever want to eat the old way again. That lifestyle was full of cravings and uncontrolled binging. Although I still sometimes overeat, I can't remember my last binge, and when I overeat now, it's often cauliflower or too large a portion of meat or cheese.
Rosalie, I've said it before, but I find you so inspirational and you look beautiful in your picture. Sylvia

  4. I'm always glad I came across your blog Rosalie, because I know you have helped more then just me and I appreciate everything so much! :) In two days I will have been following the BFC for one month and so far, I am happy to say I have lost 14 lbs. I have followed the diet to the T 95% of the time, and the few times I didn't, its just because I went over a bit not knowing the exact counts when I have been out or not around a computer to check. But I owe what I am doing partly to you because your so inspiring. :)

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
