Tuesday of week 42: The Belly Fat Cure

Good Morning,

I like others have been having a bad day yesterday. Boy if it's not one thing it's another. But one thing that we learn by doing the Belly Fat Cure, is that we don't have to emotional eat anymore. I have learned that emotions and food are not connected.

I am so glad to see so many of you blogging again. I love to read the thoughts of others doing the BFC every day. It helps us all learn from one another and not feel so alone.

I am sorry that some of us are hitting a stupid wall!! As soon as I figure out how to get over it - I will share with the class. I will keep posting my meals for the day. I know sometimes I don't, but I will from now on.

I know some people say that it's important to eat all 6 carbs a day. I feel a little different. I think he put that there a guideline. In the beginning - I ate all 6 carbs, and snacks and never really all 15 sugars. But as I went on in the BFC, I found that I didn't need all 6 carbs or the snacks anymore. You need to adjust this lifestyle for you as you go on. I usually eat anywhere from 2-4 servings of carbs a day now.

Yesterday I ate:
breakfast;
2 eggs w/cheese and bacon bits omelete, and smart and delicious tortilla w/more cheese, coffee w/ truvia, Benifiber, powdered cream, and cinnamon, arleans, 2 probiotica, Reslina and my vitamins.
lunch;
I was out so I went to Carl's Jr and had 3 chicken strips w/buffalo sauce to dip and a small side salad w/ blue cheese dressing and water.
snack;
super seed with water
dinner;
large spinach salad w/feta cheese, 3 slices of turkey bacon cooked crispy and crumbled into the salad, w/creamy balsamic vinegarette dressing. 1 square of 85% dark Lindt chocolate and a squirt of Redi Whip in my mouth.

So don't for get to support one another. My list of friends blogs doing the BFC  below.
Keep posting your weigh - ins. Congrats to all of you loosers this week.

If you are new - please introduce yourself and post any questions or comments below and we will all help in any way we can.

BTW - I went to Trader Joes yesterday looking for the bread that everyone is talking about, 0/1 for 2 slices. I looked at every loaf of bread and found nothing close. The only one closest was 0 sugar and 15 carbs for 1 slice. So please check your label and then post the correct name here for me. Thanks  :-)

Thanks for listening. Love to all of my BFC friends. Please leave your comments.

My thought for the day:

Mama exhorted her children at every opportunity to “jump at the Sun.” We might not land on the sun, but at least we would get off the ground.

Keep on BFc ' n  :-)

  1. The bread I found was called Trader Joe's SPROUTED WHEAT BREAD. It's a 1 pound loaf & looks small kind of like the ezekiel bread loaves.
    Serving size - 1 slice
    Carbs - 7g
    Sugars - 0g
    Fiber - 3g
    I checked every loaf they had. I want to do a blog post on my haul. I went to the store in Raleigh, NC so it may be different than yours. I admire your will power with the Redi whip. A can will only last me 2 days MAX! One day I'll be able to buy it again.

    I think I've read at MeAndJorge that you can eat up to 6 carbs. Right now I'm eating them all, so I'll feel very satisfied. Maybe you do have to change up your eating along the way when plateaus come...don't know about that yet ;).

    Thanks for the great post.

  2. Hay Cat, there is no such thing over here in Chino Hills Trader Joe's store. The lowest carbs is 15g per slice. I really want to try that bread, but they don't carry such a thing.

  3. Don't forget to add my blog to your list Rosalie. I only have a couple followers that still post comments on my blog. We talked on facebook the other day and I am so thankful you helped me with some ideas for the grocery store to make my shopping a little easier. Thank you for all that you do by posting your blog daily. I look forward to reading and I hope others will come over and read my blog too.

  9. Hi Rosalie - the bread I always purchase (& have talked about on Jorge's Facebook page) is the same one Cat wrote about above. I would definitely ask someone at your Trader Joe's if they could carry it - its sure a lifesaver for me on the BFC. Thanks for your blog - I really enjoy reading it & congrats on your weight loss success!

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
