Tuesday of week 39: The Belly Fat Cure

Hello everyone,

Well I am once again in Vegas to see my dad. I got a call yesterday afternoon from step-mom. She was crying and said he has to go back to the hospice and he might die tonight or tomorrow. I of course went straight home and packed real quick with the help of hubby and drove straight out there again.

By the time I got there it was around 8:30pm. I hate driving to vegas in the dark. That's when all the accidents happen and its scary all by myself. So when I got to the hospice, He looked OK. He didn't look like he was dying. I told him, if he wants me to visit - Just ask. You don't have to pretend to be sick..

But he will go sometime soon, we just don't know when. So in the meantime I will just keep on visiting as often as I can, and just giving all the love I have in me.

I am faced with the same situation as the other week that I was here. The Food. I have only been here overnight and already I have heard, Just this once won't kill you. Well, I am not falling for that crap!!

I am trying to focus on being supportive and try not to eat Belly Bad foods.

I really appreciate all the friendship for all of you and all the comments that you leave.

Lets welcome Lisa and Dena to our club and for posting their year end goals with us.
Sorry to hear about your troubles Chikey-do. I am so glad to hear that you are still BFC'n.

Everyone Please support each other. We are all we have!!
By friending someone - you might help them to not give up!
Please don't give up!
Don't make excuses for ourselves!
No matter what we are going thru,.......

We are Team BFC Club, and our Motto is: WE CAN DO THIS!

Thanks for listening. Lots of LOVE to al of my BFC friends. Please leave your comments.

My thought for the day:

Happy people learn that happiness, like sweat, is a by-product of activity. You can only achieve happiness if you are too busy living your life to notice whether you are happy or not.

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  1. I'm sorry to hear about your Dad and all the stress that is involved with that type of situation. Although, I do think it's kind of cute that he's trying to get you there as much as possible...so sweet. And, good for you for not giving in to other's pressure about what you eat while you are there!

Am I the Chikey-do that you referred to? If so, thank you. I appreciate it very much. I almost didn't come back to the blogs because I was feeling so discouraged about my blog not working out like I had hoped it would. I decided though that blog or no blog, I need, and want, whatever support I can get, however I can get it, and I get a lot out of supporting others as well. So, it's important that I do this for myself.

  3. That was part of the problem. I kept my blog private so it was easy to forget about. It's okay though, I'll still keep myself accountable by continuing to visit everyone else's blog. :)

  6. Sorry to hear your dealing with tough times but you will never have any regrets for not visiting your Dad when he needed you the most. Just stay awake on the road when you're putting in all those hours girl! Vegas has a lot of buffets, but do they have healthy places to eat as well? Hope you're educating your Dad's caretakers. I bet half of them need to know about the BFC plan, and it could save their lives.

  10. Hi Rosalie! Just found your blog. I've been doing BFC for 9 weeks and have lost 25 pounds and 4 inches! Please add me to your BFC club. My total weight loss goal is 100 pounds (I started at 238). But if you are only looking at goals thru the end of 2010, I guess I would have to say I would like to lost another 20 pounds by 12/31/10 for a total weight loss since starting BFC of 45 pounds.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
