Tuesday of week 37: The Belly Fat Cure

Hello People,

Well we have only - almost 3 months left to reach our Year End Goals. No more pity parties for any of us. No more excuses. NO matter what is going on in our lives, We can still do this and lose weight and touch our finish lines.
What are you all doing to try to reach YOUR GOAL?  Post your comments and share with all of us what you are doing to reach that goal that you set for yourself.
I am:
Making sure that I walk every day (because I don't exercise at a gym).
I try to be done with my eating by 7-7:30pm every night.
I don't cheat! No matter how tempting it is. (I really want to reach that 150 lbs).
Drink lots of water; I was told that if we have any other forms of drinks like:coffee or iced tea or flavored waters or soda, that we still need to drink that much in water also. So If I drink 2 cups of coffee for breakfast I still need to drink 2 cups of water too. The other drinks do not replace the water.

Yesterday I ate:
breakfast; smart and delicious wheat tortilla w/cheese, 2 eggs, 2 strips of turkey bacon, 2 cups of coffee w/truvia, half and half, clear metamucil, cinnamon, all my vitamins, Natural Factors, Reslina and Barleans.
lunch; 1 hamburger patty, w/ 9 tater tots (thats 1 carb serving), and a spinach salad.
snack; super seed w/water.
dinner; 1 baked skinless chicken breast with broccoli and some fettuccine sauce. 2 squares of Lindt 85% dark chocolate.

There are a lot of things that I don't eat even though it might contain under the 5 grams of sugar alloted per serving. The reason is, I don't want to be tempted to eat more and more of the things that I shouldn't.  So, I try to keep this BFC way of life as simple as possible. I love the new link that Jorge gave in my latest email:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QsONYk44Lh4
He gives us some great, Belly Good ideas of what to eat when we see nothing but junk food places. Watch the youtube video if you haven't already.

Don't forget to support all of my BFC friends blogs on the list below.

My thought for the day:

Pat Yourself On The Back.
When you do the right thing, enjoy it! When you take positive actions, enjoy them. After all, they are leading you toward positive results. Pat yourself on the back. Truly enjoy the fact that you’re making positive progress, and the negative temptations will have no power over you.

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  1. YAY!! Just got my book in the mail last night...thanks mom!! I'm really excited to get started in the next couple of days. I have to go shopping first. Also excited to see that its kid friendly because my 12 year old son Tyler is having issues with his weight and wants to join the club too :o) When I showed him your before and after pics he was like "thats grandma?? NO WAY!!" Then I showed him the book and he saw that he would still be able to eat yummy food and he was sold! I will send you his info to add to the list once he weighs in and we decide what his goal should be.
I love ya bunches mom!! And as always...I'm so proud of what you are doing for yourself and also what you are doing to motivate everyone else! XOXOXOXO

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
