Monday Starting week 36: The Belly Fat Cure.

Well I had a pretty good weekend. It's been real hot over here in southern Cali. Hubby and I went to the movies. Saw Wall street. I thought it was good - he fell asleep. I  always have popcorn but I usually skip the carbs for lunch when I do.


In the first few months that I did the BFC, I just kept saying I don't think I can do this forever. I thought it was kind of hard going without all those yummy fattening foods that I loved so much. But - now after 8 months and almost 65 lbs down, I never ever think that way. I really would love to eat a piece of fruit once in a while, but I will not do that until I have reached my goal. And then only once in a while. 


Yesterday I was wearing this sun dress that I used to wear before. It was too tight and you could see the buttons pulling. But now it is about at least a 12" too big or more when you pull it to the side. Hubby laughed at me when he saw me wearing it. He said I haven't seen that in a while and I am laughing cause it looks so big!


Its funny that when I look at myself in the mirror now I still see my fat thighs. I guess that's the main part that is left. I guess I am forgetting how really - really big I was before until I put those clothes on now that used to be too tight. Then I smack myself and say...Wow! Look at what you have done!!!

The other day Branna left a comment asking about Amazing grass and super seed. I made a products page with some of the weird things that I eat. They are on the amazon.com widget to the left. You can buy them usually cheaper on there. Super seed is on there. 
Amazing grass is a powder that you mix with liquid. It has nutrition like a vitamin but only 2 grams of fiber, that's why I did not choose that one. I already take lots of vitamin supplements and only need the fiber thats why i chose Super seed. It works well for the constipation problem that we have on the BFC.


Mary asked about Reslina. I have the privilege of taking before it is released to the public because I am friends with the owner. I think maybe it is helping with weight loss because of what is in it. It has Spirulina and Resveratrol and Muscadine grape extract in it. If you google those things, Spirulina and Resveratrol are not only very nutritional and healthy but are supposed to aid in weight loss. But they cannot claim that because that would make it a drug and not just a vitamin supplement. The web-page should be up soon and when it does I will get a discount code and post it on here so you can get a discount.

  2. so happy happy for you..ok, I'm joining ur group. I finally lost another 1 1/2 lb, and that was after a very tough past weekend (we had a bday party, where all I could eat was chicken) and we went apple picking on Sunday. It's a tradition we've had for over 40 yrs, once a year. But I was very very careful. I'm down to 188.8 and want to be down to 170 by the end of the year..can u add me to the group! love ur new bathing suite pict..on ur thighs..they are not huge, but walking will tone them up! Sue Moschino

  3. Rosalie, my weight is still the same. I have to admit that I have been doing low carb, but using splenda on some of my baking. I know, it is wrong, but does anyone know where I can get the ratio for using stevia as apposed to splenda? I am guessing that maybe that is making things slow down to snail pace. 2 weeks ago I had lost 2 lbs., only to gain them back and now I am stalled as usual. does anyone know how to convert the 2 sweetners? Help

  4. Rosalie, I think it is time for you to do some major shopping for yourself....That has got to feel really good to know that your clothes are way to big instead of way to tight. Just want to let you know that today I weighed in at 204 yippee I lost 3lbs this week.

  6. No loss for me this week, but I am not giving up yet. I had alot of cheat days and I know the reason for no loss, but I am back on track with eating good. :)

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
