I will just start quickly with what I ate yesterday;
Breakfast, a omelete made w/mushrooms and baby spinach and cheese, turkey bacon and a lemon-coconut flour muffin and berries.
Lunch; 1 piece of cabbage lasagna.
Then we went to the movies; We saw Contraban w/Mark Whalberg. Liked it. I had popcorn (no butter) Then we were bad and snuck into We Bought A Zoo. Loved it, mad me cry a few times. I ate 2 squares of Lindt 85% chocolalt I had in my purse.
Dinner; buffalo wings and broccoli and a bit of cabbage.
So today is the 1 year anniversary of my dad's death.
This was last Dec before he died. He was always being silly and making faces like that. and food on his face. |
So maybe this morning I will do some gardening (pull weeds and stuff) since we have to do that ourselves now. But it's supposed to rain so we will see.
My breakfast this morning;
turkey bacon, poached eggs in my microwave egg thingy, 2 lemon coconut flour muffins w/cream cheese and blueberries in the middle. YUMO
Debora K is down 6lbs that I noticed. Way to go GIRL!!
Angie has started her own blog, http://yearonbfc.blogspot.com/ so lets everyone go over and support her and all the other blogs on my list below.
Dawn M; I was scared o go out anywhere for like the first 2 months. It was very hard for me to see and smell all that food. Don't worry about it just move on, but next time just do like I do; Eat everything BFC and then Take 1 thing that you really want (for me it was always desert) and take 1-3 bites and then walk away. That way you get to taste it and you feel like you aren't such an ALIEN.
Support is a main key in our success!!! That and just NEVER GIVE UP!! NO matter if you are losing this week or not, just don't stop what you are doing and the weight has no where to go but off.
Thanks for listening to me today. Lots of love to Everybody. and remember WWRD??
This is PurpleRosy signing off...
My thought for the day:
Success Is A Process
Keep on BFC ' n :-)

Your Dad seemed like quite a character. I'm glad you have Maria. I'm sorry about your Dad, I know what it's like to lose your father. Have a good rest of the weekend.
ReplyDeleteI am thinking of you today - haven't lost a parent yet, but I imagine it's like nothing else. Take care
ReplyDelete{{{HUGS}}} How are you doing today? The "first" everything is so difficult. You don't realize how many firsts there are until you go through that first year after a loss. We lost our son, and although it's nearing two decades since then, there are still moments that catch me off guard and leave me crying. I hope you are doing well.
ReplyDeleteYour wisdom has come from a hard experience. I'm sorry. I'm sure you miss your boy.
DeleteRosalie, I am sorry about your Dad:( It is very hard to lose a parent, especially one that is fun!
ReplyDeleteYou tried with Maria and that counts!
Have a great day and think of happy things!
Those sad loses can be create such raw emotion. You Dad does look like a character...did you inherit that :)
ReplyDeleteTake care-
I'm sure you miss your dad so very much :( Thinking of you today!!
ReplyDeletePS - thanks for the blog shoutout - you are the best!
Today must be a hard day for you, your Dad look like a great man. How wonderful to think of working in your garden, I'm sure that will bring you peace today.
ReplyDeleteAww Rosalie, I didn't realize that it had only been a year since your died Dad. You sound like you had a great relationship with him and you still have a great relationship with Maria. She'll be ready to go later this month I'm sure. I'm sure your Dad is smiling down on you today and everyday!
ReplyDeleteIM REALLY CONFUSED ABOUT THE CARB COUNT:
ReplyDeleteFOR BREAKFAST IT ADDED UP TO 15 CARBS, WHICH IS 1 SERVING OF CARBS RIGHT?
FOR LUNCH, IT ADDED TO 30 CARBS, WHICH IS 2 SERVINGS, RIGHT?
SO DO I HAVE 3 MORE SERVINGS LEFT???
Don't be cunfused, you are right about the amounts, but you don't have to eat all 6 servings of carbs if you don't want. And if you don't eat any carbs with dinner it will certainly help you to lose better.
DeleteMake sure that you are adding up the totals in all the foods you are eating together for each meal.
Just make sure you are getting enough fiber. :-)
thanks! i havent told you, but i read your posts all the time and i had the pizzas tonight! thats why i was confused because it added up to 30 carbs for dinner with my salad.. etc.. thanks! youre awesome! i read your poss every day!
ReplyDeleteright, but it was hard not to have the 30 carbs for the pizza, it was soo good!
i made mines with saussage, zucchini, bell peppers, sauce, cheese, and feta!
it was great!
Which pizza did you make ??
DeleteALSO, IM A BIGGGGGGGGG DESSERT LOVER, SO I CAN NEVER NOT HAVE DESSERT, WHICH MEANS, I DO HAVE ATLEAST 20 CARBS FOR DESSERT, SHOULD MY DINNERS THEN BE SALADS INSTEAD? SO THE DINNER AND DESSERT CARBS DONT WRECK ME?
ReplyDeleteNO, I am a big sweet fan as you know. I just try to make sure that the numbers fit and not go over 5/2 for each meal - that will include the desert too. Just make sure you are eating BFC friendly stuff only and try to be done with all your food by 7-7:30 pm at the latest.
DeleteJust try not to eat too much at night. I never eat carbs with dinner :-)
Thinking of you and Maria I know it is hard to lose a loved one and when the anniversary of their death comes around brings lot of emotions. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteSorry about your Dad. I'm reading your early blogs and did not know he passed. You were still visiting him where I'm reading so your blog today caught me off guard. My thoughts are with you & your sister. They say it gets easier but that's not true (I know from experience -mom 25yrs. ago). It just changes over time. Celebrate him or mourn him anyway you see fit. Definitely go to the deli and have a few laughs in his honor.
ReplyDeletewhat about sorbitol-is it a good or bad sweetener substitute?
ReplyDeleteWhen I looked up Sorbitol it says it's a sugar alcohol which is counted under carbs. What do you have with that in it?
Deletevermont sugar free maple syrup...per 2 ounce serving 5gm carb, sorbitol 3gm, sugars 0 gm
