Hello my fellow BFC r's. How is everyone today? Today is going to be around 107 degrees over here in southern California. Yeah - I agree. That's way to hot!
Yesterday for lunch I had my stir fry veggies with shiritaki noodles and tofu w/curry and braggs and just a bit of sesame oil. I love this dish. It is one of my favs.
Guess what I had for breakfast this morning?
I had a pita pizza, with Seeds of change sauce and cheese and pepperoni. What can I say. I think a pita pizza is great for breakfast or lunch.
I love to keep everything simple and easy to prepare. If I need a snack, I usually have some walnuts or a piece of cheese.
I know for all you newish people, you are not going to be able to eat such few carbs as I do. You will need to eat all of your 6 servings of carbs. In the first 2 months I ate all my 6. Now I don't need to anymore. I don't need all my snacks either. Only sometimes. My stomach has gotten used to eating this way now. It takes a while to build up to this.
But one thing I did do from the beginning, I stopped eating carbs after 3pm. That is one of the reasons why I was so hungry every evening and woke up hungry every morning. I read in the BFC book, where Jorge said if you want to accelerate your weight loss to stop eating carbs by 3 or 4pm. I figured that I had so much weight to lose, that I would try to get a jump start. It was hard though. I'm not hungry anymore. My body has acclimated.
Well that's it for now - I don't want to bore you to death!
Thanks for listening. Lots of love to all of my BFC friends. Please leave your comments.
My thought for the day;
I think we should come up with some kind of cheer or something to give ourselves when our weight goes down.
RAH! RAH!
SIS BOOM BAH!
THE BFC IS WORKIN ON MEE YAH!
Keep on BFC ' n :-)

Some tips if you are having trouble
- First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
- Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
- Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
- Make sure you drink lots of water.
- Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
- Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
- Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
- Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
I hope this helps.

hurumpf..I will have to work on no carbs after 3 or 4, I'm thinking that's stalling my efforts. I go on vacation come home and loose 1 1/2 lbs..now this week, when I'm following program, I gain 3, what on earth!

Glad to hear that you are still losing.. I am still at a standstill :(
ReplyDeleteDo you make sure you eat a certain amount of fiber each day ?
I still haven't been able to find the shirataki noodles, our Traders Joe's doesn't carry them. I want to try one, before ordering a bunch.
Thanks for the help,
Beechy
Hey Beechy, I get my shiritaki noodles from an asian super market along with the baby bok choy and tofu. Maybe you have 1 in your area.
ReplyDeleteThanks.. What about your fiber intake ? Do you try to hit a certain number ? Just curious.. Trying to figure out why I stopped losing..
ReplyDeleteThanks again,
Beechy
Hey Beechy, why don't you friend me on facebook so we can chat?? I usually put the clear metamucil in my coffee in the morning. Then between lunch and dinner I either have super seed w/water or psylliuym w/MRM protein powder. I would love to help you in any way I can. :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Rosalie! I have been following your blog for quite a while. I think the BFC would be a great plan for me but for some reason I keep talking myself out of it. I can't imagine not eating something sweet at each meal. Did you used to eat a lot of sweets? Do you miss them now or does that stop when the cravings stop? I need to lose about 150lbs. I have tried weight watchers but I end up eating alot of processed food and a lot of products with aspartame which I know is not good for me. What do you do when you go somewhere and they have food that is not on the BFC? Thanks for your willingness to share your journey.
