Friday of week 28: The Belly Fat Cure

So, yesterday I seemed to have hurt my finger. That's all I can think about at the moment.
As you can see it's my ring finger. It's all swollen and was hurting and throbbing all night long. Don't even ask me what I did, Cause I have no idea. All I know is - OUCH!!

Well last night we went to the Home Town Buffet. I used to be scared to eat anywhere out in the first month or so, but now - I'm good. Anywhere I go I can always find something good for me to eat. I was afraid of seeing and smelling all that food that I can't eat any more. It's really all in the mind. Once you condition your mind that you and your health is more important than the food, it's not so hard. If you are having that problem, Don't worry...This too shall pass. It will get easier.

I just want to say that this diet is not for everyone and it's not as easy or smooth sometimes as some people make you think. You probably won't loose 4-9 lbs a week like it says on the cover of The Belly Fat Cure Book. There might be many weeks that you won't loose any weight at all.
That's OK!! The trick it to commit to this and not give up!

  1. btw, I had a finger swell up like that, it was gulp, arthritis..ouch! it ached, kept me up all nite, and then went away and never bothered me again. I hope urs does the same, and gets better quick! Buffets, I haven't encountered them yet, but am going to chicago sun-wed, and we do a ton of walking, going to be preplanning and bringing some snacks with me. I will eat with EXTREME moderation :) Pray for me :)

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
