Wednesday of week 21: The Belly Fat Cure

Hello readers. I do feel better today. Sorry about that. Before if I was feeling bad I probably would have eaten a big bowl of ice cream at night, or just keep eating until I forgot about what ever I was upset about. The one thing I have learned since starting the Belly Fat Cure is how to control that. If I emotional eat, I will ruin everything I have done to this point.
I went to the Home Town Buffet last night. Now, my husband and I used to go there PRE - BFC  quite a bit. For around $10 you could eat whatever you want. So now - I hardly eat anything. No drinks, just water. I just eat a piece of chicken and veggies. You would think I would eat the grilled chicken, but the fried chicken tastes better. All you have to do is pull off the skin.

Did you know that if you eat the skin on the chicken it contains 100 extra calories??? So pull it off. I saw that on the Doctors show on TV. Amazing, I never knew that.

I freak myself out every day when I realize how much I can control my eating now.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
