I just wanted to talk about myself a little bit. For 1 thing, I have never dieted in my life. I always just ate whatever I wanted. I did eat kind of healthy but, I guess I just ate too much maybe. I remember when my daughter was 5 ( who is now 32) I weighed between 145-150. I looked good at that weight as I am 5' 7". I slowly started an incline in my weight and not really that noticeable either. I think I was gaining about 1/2lb maybe a month.
Then after a while I couldn't fit into a size 14 anymore. I remember being at a Target buying a pair of shorts one time and my husband was with me. I started crying because I couldn't even fit in a size 16 anymore. After that I guess I just didn't care. There came a time when I just had to accept myself as I was and decided to just buy what ever size fit me and not worry so much about the number.
So here I was at the beginning of this year a tight size 18 and 238lbs. I just figured that I would be like this forever. My husband started on Jan 1rst this crazy raw food 30 day diet to cleanse himself. I said 'll eat veggies with you but I am gonna eat meat and carbs. He saw something on a tv show about the BFC and we went and bought the book. I told him I would look at it but I probable would not do it. He said OK. I read it and said "now this I can do".
And here I am 4 months later and 40lbs lighter. It has not been easy as you will see if you go back and read the older posts of my blog.
Well thanks for listening. Please leave your comments.
My thought for today: If I can do it - You certainly can!!!!!!
Keep on BFC ' n :-)

Some tips if you are having trouble
- First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
- Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
- Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
- Make sure you drink lots of water.
- Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
- Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
- Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
- Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
I hope this helps.

You are really an inspiration. My story is very similar to you I am 5'8" and dieted my way up to 207. Went from the 12 to 14, and then when the 18 barely fit, i gave up. I have been using BFC since the middle of Jan and have not been consistent enough. I lost 11 lb the first 3 weeks and have not lost any since then. I have gained and lost the same few pounds since then, but only get back down to that original 11 lb and then nothing no matter how good I am. I do weigh every day and just gained 1.2lb this morning from yesterday, and I don't know why. I know that I should wait til the end of the week to weigh, but, I don't. Thanks for letting me vent a little. I just wanted you to know that we are out here reading your posts. Keep up the good work
ReplyDeleteGreat story Rosalie! I too cried to my husband about my tight fitting clothes. So excited for you! I want to do a series on my blog where I interview other BFC dieters over the summer. I hope you will join in!
