Monday starting week 12: Belly Fat Cure

Hello, I am happy to say that starting this new 12th week on the BFC, my weight is down 2 more pounds from last week, and I even ate some popcorn at the movies yesterday. (Saw Date Night, it was very good). That makes a total of 28.5lbs total so far. Still got like a million more to go, well it seems like it anyway. Here are my measurements then and now.
weight then: 238lbs weight now: 209.5lbs
waist then: 42" waist now: 37" lost: 5"
(this is without sucking it in like you're supposed to)
hips then: 52" hips now: 45" lost: 7"

I see a big difference in the way I look when I'm in my underwear in the mirror. I don't know about you, but I am always weighing myself at night and in the morning. I need to be accountable for what I eat and I feel like I need to know if I screwed up or not right away instead of waiting 1 whole week. Also, I keep looking at myself in the mirror before I get dressed, turning sideways. Like I can see if I lost 1 more micro-inch.

I get very excited to see any progress, and I think it fuels me now. I don't feel like I am depriving myself anymore like I used to. I feel really good about this whole thing, and remember I told you that I have never ever ever tried to lose any weight at all. This is the first and only time. I always said "I am just gonna eat whatever I want". I thought I ate healthy if I ate an occasional salad or fruit. Boy was I wrong!

My thought for today: I guess psychologically we keep expecting to see that 4-9lbs come off each week. Ok look - so, we need to knock it off!! It's not gonna be that way! Shake it off and keep going!

  1. Thanks for your post about change in size. I've lost about 12 pounds and I also am not down a full size. I would guess that the fit of one's clothes depends on how one's weight is distributed.

    Although I haven't gone down a full size, my clothes fit much better and that makes me feel a lot more comfortable though not yet ecstatic.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
