This morning I weighed myself and again I am down 1 more pound. I am still an my monthly so I am amazed and very happy. I have been tracking my s/c count better and trying to get to the 6 servings of carbs per day. I wasn't before. I was lucky if I ate 4 servings a day. I thought less carbs would help me loose faster.
I have been making 1/2 cup of brown rice with meat and raw spinach salad for dinner each night. It was very difficult to figure out how to make 1/2 cup of br rice. I just put about 2 inches of water in a pot and throw in a handful of rice - when it is done - I drain off the water and put in a little butter and salt. Also I try to eat 1 smart and delicious tortilla a day. It is low in carbs 18g and high in fiber 12g.
I found this website that will tell you nutritional information on all kinds of food.
http://www.nutritiondata.com/ . Check it out, It is very helpful.
I am now at 7 1/2 weeks on the BFC. I started at 230lbs. I am now at 208. Jorge got me the incentive to start this, by me buying the book, but it's all me that keeps me going.
I love the way I feel and I will not give up until I reach 150lbs.
My thought for today: don't skimp on the healthy carbs.
Keep on BFC ' n : )

Some tips if you are having trouble
- First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
- Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
- Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
- Make sure you drink lots of water.
- Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
- Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
- Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
- Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
I hope this helps.

If you are eating brown rice several times a week, why not try making it just once or twice a week and make a larger batch? Then you can just easily measure out your 1/2 cup of rice per meal and reheat, plus it will take less time each meal-just an idea! I am enjoying reading your blog :)
