OH - Yeah - Its my Birthday...

Good Morning Friends,

I got back from my Florida Vacation on the 31st. Our flight got delayed for 5 hours and we wound up switching planes and I finally got home around 7pm that evening instead of 1pm like I should have. I was so tired to say the very least.

We had such a great time, but it was a bit hectic with so may people trying to make plans all the time. There were 13 of us. The weather was great and of course I SO Over packed. I wound up just wearing flip flops and shorts most of the time.

It was very hectic on the morning of the wedding. I took my daughter and her MIL to be to a salon and paid for her hair and makeup and we both got massages while we waited for her. The MIL left to go finish preparing food and stuff and the house and I waited.

The time ticked-tocked by and then it was late. All our clothes and stuff were at the house I was renting, so we decided to go to the house they were staying at and have my son and the FIL go get our stuff and meet us there so we could change... Well they forgot my dress!!!!

So the MIL gave me this one to wear. I had a nice cream colored - lace one - but OH WELL.

It was hard with eating, being that I was the only one that ate HEALTHY! I did the best I could. I missed my food from home though and seriously was missing my dark green veggies that I usually eat twice a day.

We went on a boat ride on Tuesday the last day there and we had so much fun.
I miss all of them already so much.

On the plane ride home I had a little incident I wanted to share:
Some of you know that I have ET's - Essential Tremors. Well.Well it kicked in Overdrive on the plane for some reason.
I asked for some water, and she gave me a small plastic cup. At first I was fine - then the next time I tried to pick the cup up, my hands started shaking uncontrollably. Usually when I use both hands - I can control the shaking, but this kind of scared me - IT WAS SO BAD!
And I spilled the water everywhere and the guy next to me did not know what the hell was wrong with me and started yelling to the attendant "EXCUSE ME CAN I GET SOME TISSUES - SHE JUST SPILLED HER DRINK"
Really? I was Mortified to say the least and just about cried. Thank goodness it was just water.

Well - Hubby is leaving early in the morning for one of those driving gigs again and I will be alone for the next week. Thank goodness he is home today cause...
YUP 56 today and 5 years of me eating healthy.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
