Today was a long day. I didn't go to work because we had a funeral to go to. My Hubby's Aunt passed last week. She was 93 and such a wonderful person.
The service started at 11 am, so I woke up and ate breakfast first then drove to meet Hubby. There were tons of people there, She was very loved - is all I can say. It was 2 hours long and after I was hungry. I had an emergency Think Thin High fiber protein bar in my purse for emergencies - thank goodness and ate that.
Then off to the cemetary then about 70 of us went to a Mexican restaurant (which I don't recommend if you are trying to eat healthy). We were all very hungry and it took a long time for the food and we all ate some chips and salsa while we waited (I ate about 10 I guess). Then we all had a choice of a couple things, so I got a taco and cheese enchilada and just ate a few bites of the beans and rice and gave the rest to Hubby.
I seriously had a tummy ache after cause I am not use to eating like that.
The one thing I know is that eating crap like the chips does NOTHING for you. It has no nutrition and does not fill you up so people just keep eating them expecting to not be hungry any more - but that does not work and they eat too many and you get filled with empty calories.
For those of you that know me, know I don't eat like that anymore.
I have been eating this way for just about 5 years now and I have to say I LOVE eating healthy. Every Day - All The Time!!
I know so many people that think they are dieting or eating healthy. I can't tell you what you are doing is wrong - I can only tell you what I did to get from 238 lbs to 145 lbs and manage to keep it off all this time.
I have learned how to eat REAL - HEALTHY foods. I have learned the difference between THINKING that eating foods like "Non fat, Sugar Free, Diet or even Organic foods are HEALTHY just because of someone says so and now KNOWING what REAL - HEALTHY foods are.
I tend to eat a bit more - well I think so anyway. I will never eat like "Normal Eaters" anymore, but I do indulge in a few bites more often now then I did while losing. Never a whole bad meal. Once we start eating Healthy - we can NEVER GO BACK!! This is for LIFE PEOPLE!!
Next week, the 24th I will be going to Florida to meet my daughter and her family for a week. My son is coming with me, but not Hubby. He can't. Has to work. She is having a nice little ceremony on the beach to marry her Fiance. I am very excited to finally get to meet him and the kids in person and just be with all of them.
So just in case I forget to tell you - I want to wish all of you Happy Holidays and be Safe.
