Hating the Time Change.....

Hello Friends,

How is everybody doing? The weather is awesome over here. I know some of you are in a ton of cold and snow right now - and I'm sorry. All I can say is, Come Visit.

I am not liking the time change. When I get home from work its pitch black already. We moved to our new home here in Rancho Cucamonga over 1 and 1/2 years ago. We LOVE it so much. When you look north - there's the beautiful mountains. When you look to the south at night you can see all the lights.

Even though its dark I still walk for around an hour about 2 - 2 1/2 miles every night after work. I am kind of addicted I guess. I love getting outside after a stressful day and just walking with my furry children. Once in a great while, Hubby might come. Sometimes I can get my neighbor lady and her little dog to come along.... But most time its just me and my Furbabies.

I am not scared of much, however in the last week I have seen 2 coyotes after work over here. I know there is tons more hiding and we hear them sometimes, but I will not let that stop my daily walks. Hubby tells me to take along this golf club I have in the front closet with me - but I guess my middle-heimers keeps kickin in and I forget most of the time. LOL

I do think its funny though when I see people running or jogging. I know some of you like that, but it ALWAYS looks like they HURT or are in so much pain and not having fun like me. Well to each their own I guess.

My hormones are in maximum overdrive lately. I have been waking up every night all wet from sweating. EVERY NIGHT - no matter what I wear or don't wear. My tummy still hurts like I'm gonna get my monthly - but it skipped this time. Yish it feels worse this way.

Now I know why some people say they gain weight with Menopause.

Although - I ALWAYS eat healthy, I am alone a lot and sometimes I just feel bad and want to eat. Even though I really can't anymore - I get full faster and Luckily for me I always have something healthy to snack on. I always am prepared now.

My weight is still the same between 145-150. My ET's are getting worse I think - but I just keep on truckin.

No matter what life throws at you - that is no reason to stuff your face with bad food.

Remember to keep eating healthy no matter what - YOU CAN do it!!

Happiness is something that comes into our lives through doors we don’t even remember leaving open.

  1. It's so good to see a Rosalie blog :) I don't like the time change either, but not because I am out walking like a good girl!
    I have cut my hormones in 1/2 and I rarely get hot flashes, but if I take 1/2 every other day, they come back. Darn things!
    I am still being a good girl for me, weight is coming off really slow, but it is coming off! Woot!

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
