I hate the time change........

Hi Friends,

How was your weekend? Hubby has been working nights but today we went to see the movie Last Vegas. Wow everyone laughed most of the time. It was very good and entertaining. We both loved it.

The weather was great yesterday 80, sunny and gorgeous, but today it cooled down a bit and got to 70 I think.

I HATE the time changing all the time. I went to bed kind of late last night - well for me anyways around midnight to try and trick myself, but that didn't work. I have been tossing and turning a lot lately because I keep sweating a LOT. I only sleep with a tank top - so........... I was up at 4am - LOL. I didn't fool ME not one bit.

I made these pancakes this morning that were pretty good.
I made 2 and intended on putting the other one away for me for tomorrow - but Hubby ate it to my surprise.

We both ate popcorn at the movies and water, and I put 2 of those chocolate biscotti in a baggie in my purse. I really should not have done that because now that I am home its before 5pm and I just got back from a walk with my furry girls -

I feel Awful. On top of me being on my monthly today (which was only 3 weeks ago BTW) I have been having ET's worse sometimes and today was one of those days. I think when I don't have some kind of protein at each meal - my ET's get worse. Is that just my imagination??? I feel the shaking starting way down in my tummy on the inside and going up. Sometimes the loud sounds at the movies makes it bad or skipping a meal like my lunch so I could eat the popcorn. I don't know.

I fear I might have to take some kind of medicine for this sometime soon - and you all know how I feel about any kind of drugs.... I only take vitamins.

Well I'm gonna go fix myself some wings and veggies. Have a great week. Take care of yourself and remember to NEVER give UP on your weight loss dreams.

  1. I have heard that movie is funny! I think it is logical that the lack of protein could be a culprit. Maybe journal when they are really bad, what you have eaten prior. I also think that you are hormonal and I wonder if that is something too? I don't miss "flo" at all, and 3 weeks apart???
    Your weather sounds Heavenly!!!

  2. Husband and I never go to the movies, we wait for it to be on Netflix but he actually said we should go see Last Vegas! Glad it was good. Movie popcorn sounds good right now :-)

  3. Sounds like we are having the same sleeping problems. I seem to toss and turn all night. I get really hot and sweaty, then I get cold and so on and so on. Haven't had a period in a few months. Hoping it's done. So ready for that! I want to see that movie. I love all those actors and I love to laugh. Have a good day out there in sunny Cali. Cool and very fall like here in the northeast. Time for sweaters, fires and hot tea!!XO!

  4. We loved the movie too. I too tend to sweat at night..but since doing away with most soy...it's not that bad anymore.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
