Yes YOU Can!

Hi Friends,

First I want to say that I just came back from such a nice walk with my furry girls. I  had a beautiful view of the mountains looking at the tops of the houses and trees. A little warm still but very clear.

I just got off the phone with our friend Sherri. She needed a pep talk and is ready to get back in it so everybody cheer her on.

For any of you that are having a hard time or think that maybe you can't do it - I am here to tell you ---
Look - If I can lose all that weight and keep it off for all this time - and I am NO ONE special, then so can you!!

I've said this many times in the past - and its SO TRUE, It's all in YOUR HEAD. You have to get your mind right and don't let anyone get in there and mess you up or influence you in the wrong direction.

YOU are in CONTROL of YOU.

OK so here's what I've been eating;
Muffin for breakfast yesterday
 Spicy-Cauliflower pancakes with avocado for lunch
 A spinach salad and chicken for dinner - desert was 2 BFC-thin-mint cookies and a little rediwhip
 Pumpkin muffin for breakfast this morning too with turkey bacon
 I finally went shopping and 3 stores later - whew. I actually found some of those Hershey's sugar free chocolate chips - sweetened with Maltitol and some peanut butter-chocolate chip Clemmy's at the Albertsons by my new house. Whoop-Whoop

Lunch was the other 2 Spicy cauliflower pancakes with hummus, spinach, and turkey on top.
 I made an AWESOME pot of turkey chili with tons of veggies inside, and am eating a bowl for dinner as we speak.

  1. You rock! ALWAYS love your posts. Was that our girlfriend Sherri L that you were talking too? I'm being nosy but aside from a blog comment I haven't heard from here in awhile. Our little blogging group is dropping like flys!! Hows the new baby doing? XO!

    1. Yes that was our Sherri L - like I said she's ready to get back in. And the baby is awesome - I posted a video my daughter sent me this morning on Facebook.

  6. You ARE someone special....You ARE a consistent motivator....that's not an easy task! Yay that Sherri is on board....I hope she starts blogging again because her blogs are always fun! I must've missed the video of your baby on fb....I'll go check it out!
    Stay cool.....I guess the weather dude said it was supposed to be monsoonal (sp?).....I guess that just means a bit cloudy at the beach and humid (great for my walk this morning!)

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
