Let ME be Your Conscience...

Hi Friends,

I know - its summertime and there are temptations everywhere. I know - some of you are having a hard time with your weight. Every New and Trendy thing that pops up - you think, Maybe this will be it for me??

Let me be your conscience and the VOICE in your head. 

When I hear some of you say that I'm the little angel on your shoulder telling you not to eat something - well that just makes me HAPPY. That is one of the reasons I write this blog and I AM doing something right then.

I learned how to eat healthy from Jorge's- original Belly Fat Cure book, I've lost over 90lbs and have kept it off. It was NOT easy and nothing this rewarding and worth doing will be.

Look - this is what worked for ME. OK?

First figure out what foods are healthy and good for us to eat all by yourself. Stop asking someone - can I eat this on the BFC? Learn the process of how to eat healthy and figure out that;
corn, potatoes, chips, flavored drinks, soda, white stuff like (white-bread, rice, tortillas, pasta), processed and many pre-made foods, artificial sweeteners, fruits and veggies that contain WAY TOO MUCH sugar and carbs...
All that stuff is NO GOOD FOR US - and STOP eating it....Period - The END!!!!

Be consistent...

There will be many weeks that you won't lose any weight and maybe even gain like I did in the first year, but the trick for me was to just keep eating the same way and not give up!!

Find out what - maybe you ARE eating wrong and stop eating it. All these healthy blogs that I have posted on here will help give you ideas of what you would never think of to eat.

Just replace the bad stuff like honey with Natures Hollow Maple syrup, replace sugars with stevia or xylitol.

Learn how to figure out the S/C values in foods all by yourself. Once you learn how to do this - it will get so much easier for you and then you won't have to track everything and you CAN eat like this forever without even thinking about it twice.

LOOK............I am NOBODY special... I am just a regular per that ate WAY too much and well - actually - I was FAT. I can say that now. I am not a workout freak - I only love to walk every day with my furry girls.

If I can do this at my age - My question to you is....

What is stopping YOU??

You MUST participate on the blogs and get and give support. You Can do it by yourself - but you don't have to. We are here to help and cheer you on.

I noticed there is not much activity on any of the blogs - This MUST STOP!!!

  1. High-five on this post !!! I have been at this for almost a month now & I am seeing results not only with weightloss but in other aspects of my life as well.

    Thanks for keeping my on my toes, I take all your suggestions & tips and run with them. You have been there so why wouldn't I learn from the best !! YOU :)

  2. thanks Rosalie for your blog and pep -talk I do follow your Ideas and I also bought the book The Belly Fat Cure which I find very helpful and have the over 40 menu downloaded and printed on my frig so I am following this menu which I like all the foods. I can't say over the 4th of July weekend I was totally eating correctly but I did pretty well and then resumed my menu on Monday. so thanks for all the suggestions and tips.

  4. Hey girlfriend! I have tried a few times to leave comments on past posts from my phone or IPad and then it puts me to the google sign in page and I lose the comment. But I have been reading the posts. I love this post today. Back from my week at the shore so I need to get caught up and get a post written. thanks for always being there!! XO! PS any baby news???

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
