Cooler today...

Good Morning to you all,

It's Sunday and hubby is at work AGAIN. I know some of you think it would be so awesome to have the house to yourself, but when its 75% of the time it gets a bit old. The weather is overcast will be 87 here today and we just might get some rain - or so the news says. We shall see.

This is me and my best and longest knowing friend who got married the Friday. I have known her since my kids were little wee ones. I was their witness, they also had some family there as well. I am very happy for them.
 This was my breakfast Friday morning, my healthy toast with homemade coconut butter, 2 egg and cheese omelet and berries.
 Before I left I ate a piece of salmon left over from the night before and 1/2 avocado. I wanted to make sure I ate SOMETHING. You know me - I get hungry and grouchy - when hungry - LOL
This was 2 days ago and you all know I got Middle-heimers and I think--- I had a spinach salad and turkey chili for dinner

My breakfast yesterday was chorrizo, mushrooms and eggs, avocado, 2 homemade corn tortillas with chia seeds inside and a bit of cheese on top and berries. WOW - that was good!
 So alone again - so I went to the AMC and saw not 1 but 2 movies. Ha-ha. First I saw Grown ups 2 and ate turkey and cheese roll-up I put in my purse in a baggie, Seriously - like a 1/2 bag of popcorn (no butter), then I sneaked into Red 2 and ate 2 squares of 86% dark chocolate from my purse too.

Came home and took my furry girls for a 1 mile walk. I think their age is getting to them cause they can't make it back that well. I am dragging them behind me the second half usually. Poor babies. But I will not let them off the hook that easy.  We walk EVERY day unless it rains. They need the exercise.

I ate a spinach and tuna salad for dinner.
 Then I made this Pastry thingy I saw a recipe for - but did not even like it at ALL - so I will not post the recipe.
 This Morning is Healthy Blueberry pancake morning - Yippee!
 I made another batch of coconut butter - see in the jar? But with my ET's I accidentally shook WAY too much cinnamon in there. That's why it looks brown - but it was still verytasty on my pancakes and dipped in a tiny bit of syrup.
Got 3 more for Manana...Whoop-Whoop
is that how you spell it?

I think I will try to do cleaning up some stuff in the yard today since it looks overcast - unless it rains.

  1. It's overcast at the beach, too and I saw a few rain drops on the patio. I guess it's a good day to clean, that's what I did a little of. I have so much more to do, but am feeling lazy. I'm liking the quiet in my house right now :) The 16 yr old has that funky virus so she's just chilling and my hubby and son are in Canada taking care of his Dad's Estate and maybe doing a bit of fishing ;)
    Hope your hubby is home soon and gives you some quality time.

    What did you think of Red 2? Hubby and I have decided to wait until school starts to go to the movies, way too many kids! I guess we didn't realize how spoiled we were when they were in school.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
