H-O-T Over Here...

Good Morning Friends,

I hope you all had a nice Mothers day yesterday. Hubby worked day shift so I started off waking up early and was out back picking up doggy poopy and mowed the back grass so the furry girls would have a nice place to potty. I don't want to make Hubby do it caused he has been working way too much. Besides, we have an electric mower - so you just plug it in and go - easy. It was supposed to be over 100. After I went in a took a shower and made myself a Mother's Day Breakfast.

 This was from my hubby. I told him he had a motive cause its his favorite flower and he wants me to plant it at our new house. LOL
 These were from My other s-daughter Nicole and her boyfriend Mike - I was very surprised.
I just hung around the house watching TV and started feeling kind of sad because MY mom has been gone for 12 years now and my son has been gone for 8 months now. But My other son called, and Daughter and her family in Michigan called and they both didn't realize but made me feel better.

The night before I made a pot of Turkey chili (which hubby could not stop eating) and ate a bowl for lunch before I left.
I drove to Pasadena around 1-ish to go to Hubby's mom's house and hang out with her. Check this out - I took this on the was in the car.
Only in southern California. WOW
It was very warm over there when I got there just after 2. I just hung out with her (waiting for hubby to get there when he got off work at 6) and she always loves to watch sports and was watching the basketball game. I just pretended to be enthused also for her. But I could actually care less about sports.

Hubby's nephew who is 30 BBQ'd the meat. It took him 2 hours. Chicken, ribs, links and steaks - which he did wrong but we didn't say anything. He did his best but ruined the steaks.

I wound up eating 1/2 a link, drumstick, pc of steak, broccoli, cauliflower and a couple bites of mac & cheese. and lots of water all day. HOT
I did eat about 3 small bites of some kind of pound cake - tasted like yucky bread dipped in sugar.

So obviously don't eat what I have been eating the past few days cause this morning my weight is still UP. I know its from no sleep and my hormones and lets not get started about the HOUSE!! Its still not funded as of this morning yet - so .................

Its gonna be another 100 degree-er over here again today. Thanks for listening and have a good day.

  2. It was actually hot at the beach this morning! When I went for my walk at 8:30 it was already 70 degrees which really surprised me. We were supposed to go to the pool at our assoc. to bbq for Mothers Day, but it was so cloudy and cool that we just ate on our front patio. Anyhow, I hope you are keeping yourself busy so you dont think about the house stuff. Glad your kids called and sent flowers and made you feel better ;)

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
