Bloggin Helps...

Hi Everyone,

Nice weather over here as usual. Not much going on. Hubby is working a ton and I am alone with my thoughts too much lately. Sometimes I feel like I am in Prison.

I think the best thing I like about blogging is that it really helps to get my thoughts and feelings (good or bad) out all the time. It keeps me straight and on track by being truthful and accountable. It helps me deal with my grief and the loss of my son also.

I was watching a silly show on Sci-Fy channel called the haunted collector. I love shows like that. Well he was telling this lady that because she had a loss recently it might have made her more susceptible to spirits. And that is why her house was haunted. So that had me thinking about my invisibles that have been around here.

We moved here and 3 weeks later my son died, right after that all the crazy stuff started happening that I have talked about. Hearing noises, hearing voices and getting tapped and woken up at night all the time. I think with my grief it has made me more aware and they are drawn to me more. Well anyway that's what he was saying and I have a feeling he is right.

Luckily I have not been sick for quite a long time, well since I got healthy over 3 years ago. Stress causes a lot of problems like getting sick and lack of sleep, etc. I am hoping that I can get some sleep sometime soon. Hubby and I are both having that problem - we think it might be the bed. But that will have to wait until we EVER move.

My breakfast yesterday, I have been getting of eggs so much so am trying to take a break for a few days. Toast, 1 with cottage cheese and Nature's Hollow and 1 with Almond-Joy butter, turkey bacon and blackberries.

 For lunch I stopped at Boston Market and I ate some spinach, veggies and turkey. After I ate a cheesecake muffin.

Went for our daily walk with my furry girls.

Dinner was broccoli and 6 buffalo wings

 Breakfast this morning was toast again with my butter and Almond butter and blackberries.
Lunch Hubby and I went to Five Guys Burgers and I had a dbl cheeseburger wrapped in lettuce and a few of his fries. After that we went to the cheap $5 theater and saw the movie Evil Dead. I ate popcorn with no butter. I have to tell you it was not for the faint of heart. It was Dis-GUST-ing. With a capital GUST. Only a little scary.

Well I am at home alone again!! I thought Hubby said he was not working again tonight - but he is. He is off tomorrow (Sunday) and then works day shift for 6 days in a row. He needs a break for sure.

I just got back from a walk on this beautiful day with my furry girls. I think I might watch another episode of Downton Abby on the computer now.

  1. I think it will be good for you to move from your house, you can start fresh. I wish you would go to the Dr. about your sleep issues. I know you don't want to take anything, but there may be an underlying health issue. Just saying:)
    I love 5 guys and when I am good, I eat just 1/2 the bun, but then I eat some fries and peanuts, I love the peanuts!
    I have watched Season 1 and Season 3 of Downton. I am too cheap to pay for season 2. I love the show, and I will miss it!
    I love scary movies, but not when it is just gruesome blood.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
