Good Morning Friends,
Well if you noticed yesterday I changed my blog so you cannot leave an anonymous message any more. I am really tired of all those spam comments. So for those of you that sign in that way (CAREY) sorry. I got faith in you girl!! You can figure out how to do it. :-)
So my breakfast yesterday morning of eggs with spinach and cheese and homemade corn tortillas with chia seeds inside, and berries of course. Always berries if I have them. That is the only fruit I eat so I crave them now.
After that Hubby wanted, well kept begging me actually if I would go and look at more cars with him, so off we went. This time I packed my own lunch. I bought the other half of the cauliflower crust pizza in a container and had some almonds and hazelnuts in a baggie in my purse and a bottle of water of course. That was my lunch in the car.
In case you did not get to view this GEM on Facebook yet - We went to AAA after we actually bought a used car for him (got a 2001 VW Jetta - diesel) and were waiting for our name to be called.
Hubby says "THAT IS DISGUSTING!!" I say What?? OMG!! too funny I said - I need to get a picture quick!! I'm putting that on FACEBOOK... LOL. Seriously, his wife was sitting right next to him.
Well anyways AAA said they can't do a car bought from a small dealer so off we went to the Dreaded DMV. waited there for quite a while, but got it done.
After that - well hubby was starving cause he didn't eat lunch - only a bag of chips when we stopped for gas. Well I'm not his mommy, I offered to split the pizza with him, but he always says no- I'm not in the mood for that. Oh well - more for me.
So we went to Hometown Buffet. I wound up eating a few different meats, chicken (pulled off the skin) and roast, broccoli, cabbage and a bit of salad. 3 tiny bites of his desert.
Got home and took the furry girls for a walk. Later on while watching TV with hubby he notices me holding my tummy again and crying. I love this cause he really has no idea what is wrong.
He asks, what's wrong?
did you read something on the computer sad?
is it you stomach again?
is it you hormones?
is it me?
Really it was my hormones in maximum overdrive...I seriously felt like I was dying....
He offered to make me tea. sweet...
I really can't sleep well still, but I am trying.
I hope you all try to make the best of your day where ever you are. I know some of you back east are having bad snow storms. It will be 70 here again.
This is PurpleRosy signing off...
Keep on BFC ' n :-)

Some tips if you are having trouble
- First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
- Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
- Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
- Make sure you drink lots of water.
- Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
- Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
- Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
- Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
I hope this helps.

Congrats on the "new car"! That picture is pretty funny and also disgusting! I'm having pizza for dinner tonight, but trying a new crust!
ReplyDeleteYour pizzas always look so good. I like what you said about not being someone's mom. It's hard enough to take care of ourselves and our kids.
ReplyDeleteGlad you got the car stuff done. Thats a pain. I have a 2001 Honda Accord in terrific condition with all the bells and whistles and only 92,000 miles on it. It was my sons car and we bought it new when he was in high school. Now he drives one of my old SUV's, so the car is just sitting in the driveway. I keep saying I'm going to sell it but never do it. We have six cars total. Of course three are the kids but I still pay and maintain what needs to be done on them. Time to stop right? it's a lot of work. Still laughing at that photo. Kind of sad that the poor guy didn't know or his wife.
ReplyDeleteI think the wife totally gave up on telling him his butt crack was showing! I know I have given up telling my daughter;) Those darn low cut jeans! I had a regular 2001 Jetta and it was a great car. Cool for him:) You are on your way to a new house!!!
ReplyDeleteI think it is so sweet that your hubby is trying to understand the things that just can't be understood! Good luck my friend!
Pattie, I wish you lived close, I am sure someone around here would die to have that car!!!
