Busy Baker...

Hello Friends,

My breakfast yesterday morning, 2 Oasis toast with butter and homemade peanut butter, eggs with baby spinach and cheese, 1/2 avocado turkey bacon and berries.
 I made another batch of Chocolate-Hazelnut-butter. http://purplerosy.blogspot.com/2012/08/homemade-chocolate-hazelnut-butter.html
 I made some scones; http://purplerosy.blogspot.com/p/scones-by-httpwww.html
Lunch was a zucchini pizza but I used the last eggs for breakfast so I used some of the egg whites I had in the fridge. Tasted OK but did not brown on the bottom the same. Eggs are better, FYI
Me and the Furry girls went for a 2.3 mile walk. Such a nice clear day. The temp is still in the 50's and cool for us. Funny  cause when we got back Mandy and Peaches went to their beds in the bedroom and I did not see them for about 2 hours. I pooped them out. LOL

I didn't get hardly any sleep last night so I feel like crap today. But I am gonna try and stay busy by baking and make some more Chocolate-Cheesecake muffins today. They are a big hit at home with Hubby and with the guys at the F.D.

I also found a recipe for sweet potato brownies that I am gonna change and make BFC friendly with Pumpkin instead. (cause that is what I have on hand) I will post on Facebook later with the recipe if they come out good. Fingers crossed.

Thanks for listening and have a great day.

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

My Thought for the day:

Follow the grain in your own wood.

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  3. I'm laying off the baking for awhile. Need to bust off my plateau and I'm determined right now. I discovered a great pizza crust you can hold in your hand (even my kids like it). I'm hoping to post soon.

  4. Those brownies look yummy, but I'm with the others on the baking. I had made some almond butter cookies and I just don't have the willpower to stop eating them. You are so disciplined :)

  5. Sorry you haven't been sleeping well again. Love all the stuff you've been baking. It's nice to just do a bunch of cooking in one day just to have it all on hand for the next week. The pumpkin brownies look like they turned out well, how did you like them?

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
