Good Sunday Morning to you all,
Lately I have still been feeling real bad. I can't sleep - EVER!! I know it will be 4 months on the 4th but just can't shake that just plain ole bad about myself feeling. I think it was Pattie that hooked me up with a website that sends out daily affirmations in the email. There was this quote at the end of one the other day;
"Our lives are like a vapor, here for a while, and then gone. Every moment is important. Today I will spend no time on self-pity, self-criticism, frustration, or anger. I will live for the simple beauty of the present moment." ~ Anonymous
Yesterday I decided that no matter what I would not get angry or sad or feel sorry for myself in any way. Hubby has been working a ton of OT at the FD so I have been alone most of the time the past week or more. It does get to you at times having no one to talk to besides the dogs. Which are the best company you could ask for actually.
There was this one friend I made when I started the BFC over 2 years ago online and we would chat online, or text or talk on the phone everyday. She even came to visit me a few months back remember? All of a sudden she un-friended me on Facebook and does not answer any of my texts or messages or anything about a month ago. I have no clue - whatever!!
My breakfast yesterday morning.
No lunch for me. We went to the movies in the afternoon before hubby went to work the night shift and saw DJANGO and I had popcorn, water and 2 squares of 86% chocolate that was in my purse. When I go to the movies and have popcorn I always skip my meal to account for eating the popcorn.
So we both thought this movie was entertaining and great! 2 thumbs up - It did have a lot of blood and they said the N-word about 100 times at least. At first I thought that would offend me, but it seemed to fit into the movie and was not really an issue. Christof Waltz made the whole movie and was so awesome!!! They all were actually - many big names in it - and if you can handle those 2 things - definitely go see it. You will. not be sorry.
We got out around 2pm and it was raining so we went shopping - what else is there to do? Believe it or not I still have a lot of clothes that are too big that I still, wear because it costs so much to replace EVERYTHING. Something to keep in mind while you are losing - LOL. I need to take them out of my closet and replace with more stuff that fits.
I had a coupon for the Black/White store and got some stuff that was on the sale rack. Then I went to Kohls and had $10 in kohls cash and a 20% off coupon and got a couple things there.
On the way home I stopped at Boston Market and got 2 bowls with a coupon - buy 1 get 1 free and got 1 for hubby for the next day. Mine was chicken, creamed spinach and veggies.
After for desert I had not 1 but 2 of my brownies and some carmel-chai decaf tea.
Breakfast this morning, egg whites w/spinach annd turkey sausage crumbles and cheese and Oasis toast.
Right now its about 9:15am and I'm trying to be quiet while hubby sleeps a little. When ever he works nights he never sleeps very much - only about 2-3 hours. I don't know why I just sit here and watch TV quietly after my breakfast. SHHH
I have a couple shirts to take back to Macys that were wrong sizes so maybe I will do that today.
Have a great rest of the day and a nice New Years Eve. Hubby will be working so I will be alone again. This is the END of 2012. I wish everyone a better and happier 2013. Hopefully after the Monday you will all have some nice stories to tell me.
This is PurpleRosy signing off...

Some tips if you are having trouble
- First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
- Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
- Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
- Make sure you drink lots of water.
- Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
- Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
- Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
- Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
I hope this helps.

I was very interested in your comments about Django. I agree that Christof Waltz made the movie. I enjoyed a lot of it, but the gratuitous violence and glorification of revenge in the last parts of the movie really got to me.
ReplyDeleteI have so many friends who are anti-gun and yet they loved this movie. In my viewpoint, movies and video games that glorify violence, even somewhat humorously, are part of the problem.
I am not in favor of censorship, but I do think we should look a little closer at our own hypocrisy. I'm sorry that this isn't a food-related post, but this movie has been on my mind since I saw it and I am glad you brought it up. Sylvia
Don't stress about Facebook too much...when they work on it, it goes nuts. I'm not a Tarintino fan but we do plan to see it.
ReplyDeleteHi Rosalie, I've been bad about commenting or posting lately because we went down to see my dad over the holiday week. I got a Vitamix for Christmas and I was looking up recipes and demos and came across a lady that does demos for Costco. Anyway I was reading her website and she was talking about her insomnia and how she cured it without pills using a electromagnetic entrainment device called the EarthPulse. It's pricey but I thought about you and thought I'd give you the link: http://blenderlady.com/end-insomnia-and-gain-more-energy/
ReplyDeleteI sure hope 2013 is a better year for both of us!
It will soon be a new year and I am ready too! Out with the old and in with the new!
ReplyDeleteI say get clothes that fit! Treat yourself:) I love the white house/black market, but it seems really expensive. They are also in our downtown mall and I rarely go there. Enjoy your shape!
I don't know what to think about that movie. I know the N word is in it a lot, and they kill all the white people at the end. Seems strange to glorify? Just another reason to piss people off. Excuse my language!
Happy new year Rosalie!
Hey Rosalie...Just wanted to say Thank you for all your amazing support in 2012. Anything you ever need from me I am here for you too! Facebook, skype, candy crush..LOL :-)
ReplyDeleteSorry you are still feeling bad and still not sleeping. I'm glad those daily affimations are helping you. They help me too. Just want to say that I am hoping 2013 is a better year for you. Sending love and hugs and wishes for a Happy New Year! XO
ReplyDeleteHi Rosie, It has been awhile since I blogged you. Not been on the BFC plan either. But with the new year, it's time I got busy. Once in awhile I would read your blog or the meandjorge blog, but now I need to be serious. I need to lose at least 30-40 lbs. thanks for your continual post even though I know these past few months have been very tough for you. I tried WW and just found I was eating too much bread and didn't feel well. I had lost a lot of weight years ago on WW but it just doesn't work for me anymore. One of my workmates lost a lot of weight on BFC so I was motivated to get back to it. Seeing your pics too are very encouraging. Hopefully I will be able to get my new me pic up on here in the next few months. Yes summer is coming again. Yeah! The shortest day just passed too. Talk again soon. Val
