Gettin in Touch with my Ghostly side...

Hello Friends,

Happy Thursday to you. I must say that the weather is absolutely gorgeous over here lately. between 70-80. How perfect is that? Perfect for our daily walks.

My TIP for today
Don't just mindlessly eat out of any package. What ever kind of food it is, measure out you portion and then put the package away.

Here's what I ate yesterday;

2 pancakes with cream cheese frosting I had left over from the muffins and natures hollow, berries, avocado, and some eggs with chicken inside.
This wound up being way too much so I gave half the chicken and eggs to my dogs. They are lucky pups indeed.
I vacuumed and mopped the house.
Lunch was some of the Turkey Chili from the night before.
No snack - but took a nice walk with the 3 furry girls.

OK so in the afternoon I tried to get in touch with my Ghostly side.
I went into the Bedroom which seems to be the place where all the paranormal activity keeps taking place, I sat on the bed and tried to be real still and quiet with a small tape recorder I had and tried to see if I could hear or see anything.

But when I played it back - it made too much noise with the tape.

So I put a recorder app on my cell phone and tried it again, but couldn't hear anything. The only thing I could hear when I turned it up real loud was Peaches licking her lips. LOL I was in there for 1 & 1/2 hours. Oh well - I will try again another time.

As you can tell Hubby was working the day shift and as usual I have nothing to do - LOL

Dinner was a spinach salad and some wings (tequila-lime flavor)
Desert was 3 mini-lemon muffins and a little RediWhip

Breakfast this morning was 2 poached eggs w/cheese, avocado, berries, and the last 2 pancakes from the other day.
Well that's all for now. Have a great day and smile at a stranger. That just might be the only smile they will see today. :-)

Take one and pass it along.

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  1. Rosalie - it struck me as funny when you said you had eggs with chicken inside! Question: Do you ever make the pancakes or muffins ahead and then reheat? I work and commute to get there so have limited time in the kitchen so just curious. Thanks. Dana

    1. Yes I do - the pancakes I ate I made 3 days before and kept them in the fridge. I make muffins and keep them in the fridge.

  2. Maybe you'll have your ghostly encounter next Wednesday(Halloween)!! We had almost the same weather here today, but I hear it's going to start getting colder again over the weekend and then we will get wind and rain from Hurricane Sandy - blah!

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
