What a Friday...

Good Morning Friends,

Yesterday was kind of a weird day. I started with a good breakfast like always.
eggs with sauted onions and mushrooms, baby spinach and cheese, turkey bacon, 1/2 avocado and a little cottage cheese with a few berries.

Hubby and I drove up to the Hesperia area about 1 hour away to this credit union that finances his car. We talked a lot about health and diet and no matter how much weight I have lost and how healthy I am now that some people just disagree with you, like my sister Lisa for instance. She is a nurse and thinks that no matter what - she knows best.

We got back home and around 12 ish I got hungry so I made a light lunch, cause I knew we were planning on seeing the Dark night sometime today.
a small zucchinin sauted in EVOO, a small roma tomato cut up and a turkey patty. And I couldn't resist a chocolate treat after.

I got a phone call from our loan person and she was saying that I sent over something wrong to the processor and the loan got rejected because of what I did and she said she fixed it and sent it back and it should get approved on Monday. So I was upset about that because Hubby made me feel bad about it instead of saying - its OK you didn't mean it. Men are jackasses sometimes - its in their genes I think they just can't help it.

Off we both left to the AAA so he could have the personalized Firefighter plates removed from his car, he was going to sell it. There was such a problem that we actually had to go to the DMV. I don't know how it is in your area but it is a nightmare over here in southern California. There is always a line around the building and that is just to get in.

I told him I was gonna wait in the car. Too many people and too many cooties. LOL. So its been about 1 hour and I feel a bump... I can't believe it but some Jackass hit the front of my car while I am sitting in it!!

Well you all know I am 53 and hormonal and pre-menopausal and actually on my monthly right now - not a good combination.
I beeped the horn - and said "ARE YOU F**KING KIDDING ME?? YOU HIT MY CAR WHEN I AM F****KNG SITTING IN IT? This car is new!! Move your car up so I can see what you did"

I am pretty sure I scared the SH***T out of this poor old guy. I said I'm calling my husband to come and look - he's inside in line. So I did and told him to come and make sure there was no damage. It turned out he just hit the front plate I think - but will only know for sure  when he washes the car next. But it looked fine.

I really need to learn how to take a chill-pill or something. It turned out we were there for 2 1/2 hours and it was after 5pm and we decided to go to the next showing of the Dark Night that started at 6:05pm.

We were a bit hungry and ordered popcorn chicken and popcorn. I ate about 5 little pieces of the chicken and a whole box full of popcorn - I was hungry.

As the movie started I found myself watching when anyone got up from their seat or trying to figure out  - was this the time when he came out with the guns??

Anyway I tried to relax and the movie was SO GREAT!! We loved it and Joseph Gordon-Levitt was great, I love him lately, he's good at pretty much every role he does, and you will never guess who actually does the bad guy?? You have to look him up. There is no great movie without a great BAD guy too.

Well that was my day. Now I just made some pumpkin pancakes for breakfast this morning;
The owner of this house said a Realtor is supposed to come and show it to someone today at 12 noon and then we are supposed to go to his Moms in Pasadena for a family BBQ today. Then tomorrow packing I guess.

BTW Susan ET's means Essential Tremors.

Have a nice day - This is PurpleRosy signing off...

My thought for the day:

Secret of Health

The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, worry about the future, or anticipate troubles but to live in the present moment wisely and earnestly.

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  2. I feel your pain, darling... With the dh (dear husband) and the all-knowing sister (mine's an aid in a hospital who thinks she is a doctor) and sister-in law who has been doing an hour of grueling exercise daily to no avail. There was a general sense of belief that I was not going to make this a lifestyle change and would fail. It's been almost a year for me and I'm doing okay. Hope this week brings you more peace and well-being!

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
