Hot over Here...

Hello Friends,

Wow I woke up to some bad news on TV this morning. That guy who went into the movie theater and shot all those people. Just imagine, staying in line all day to see that movie and then getting shot during the shooting scene - Man just terrible!!

Well yesterday after our breakfast and morning walk I decided it was time to bring them back to their grandmas, I told her I would have them back around noon.

We decided to take a detour to the movies ourselves and we saw Ice Age and we all loved it. When we got there they had long lines everywhere for the Dark Night midnight showing. They had chairs and sleeping bags - just plain crazy considering how hot it was yesterday.
I brought the 3 of us a pc of cheese and some turkey pepperonis to eat in the theater and we had popcorn - that was our lunch. After I took them to Grandmas and I waited for a while to see if their mom would get there so I could say hi. The girls went swimming and I waited till 4pm with mom watching Dr Phil. Did anyone see that yesterday - YEESH!!

Anyway look at how my 1.5 hour drive home in the TRAFFIC was...
Do you See that??

I almost got home and hubby called and wanted me to pick him up first cause I was gonna stop at Sams Club on the way. He said he was bored. So we picked up a few things, including a rotisserie chicken and had the chicken and a spinach salad for dinner.

My after dinner treat;
Was a chocolate-coconut flour muffin.

The next 3 days it is supposed to be at least 100 or more here so probably a lot of staying indoors for me and the furry girls. Hubby is working days Fri-Mon. I am just doing laundry now - trying to get it done early.

Do any of you live in an area where the mailboxes are on the street? Well ours is and tons of times there is some stupid idiot who parks in front of it and the mailman just wizzes by and skips us cause they are too lazy to get out of the car. This has happened MANY times. I'm getting sick of this crap!!

Again this morning:
That's my mail box along with my neighbors. So I put a big note on the window that said:
DO NOT PARK IN FRONT OF THE MAILBOX!! Yeah I'm a pre-menopausal-E.T.-bitch. LOL

Remember that we are all different and not the same thing will work for all of us.
What I say here has worked for me.
Please don't just blindly follow someone because they say something...
Stop sitting around waiting for that MAGIC FIX!! Cause its not out there!!
If you want something bad enough - YOU HAVE TO WORK FOR IT!!!
It's NOT Gonna be Easy!!
But it will be worth it!! I Promise!!

Thanks for listening, try to stay cool and have a great day.

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

My thought for the day:

One Positive Thought

One Positive Thought, Positive QuotesIt takes but one positive thought, when given a chance to survive and thrive, to overpower an entire army of negative thoughts.

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  1. I heard that news too. Just horrible ... what is happening to our world?? Even more shocking was this news article my husband forwarded to me that one of the victims killed had narrowly escaped a shooting in Toronto (at the Eaton Centre) only several weeks ago. What are the chances of that?! http://toronto.ctvnews.ca/colorado-shooting-victim-survived-toronto-eaton-centre-shooting-1.886613

I'm sticking to my eggs for breakfast and shakes for lunch and doing OK this week. Going to lay off the cheesecake for a bit :)

  2. I can't believe that such horrific things happen. Unreal.
We have a community mailbox which is right out our back door. It is nice since some people have to walk a block to get their mail. I don't know if my husband would say that in the winter because it is up to us to keep it snow free. Around here if there is a mailbox on the street, high school kids drive by with a bat and knock them over!

  3. Wow, that's horrible!

And I would never dream of parking in front of the mailbox - how rude!

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
