Stick Together...

Hello to All of my Friends,

Today was another day of hurry up and waiting. We had to send over yet something else they needed. We were told that Friday we will get the final approval, and Next Thursday will be the walk thru. So Still - fingers crossed.

Right now as I am writing this, all I hear is EEEK-WREEEEK-EEEEEK. I think there is 3 of them. I tried to film it and put it on youtube last night. LOL - They are freaking out the dogs. Last night Peaches was having bad dreams. Poor babies.
I tried to take a picture of one of the owls before it got dark. See, they sit in the Palm trees behind us. It was kind of far,  I zoomed way in so its not that clear.
Here's what I ate last night for dinner. Hubby liked it so I made the same ting for him too. 1/2 cucumber cut up, celery cut up, 1 can of tuna, 1 tb of chia seeds, and some of that Sprouts Chipotle Ranch dressing.
I made a chocolate coconut flour muffin for desert.
Breakfast this morning was a flaxseed muffin w/the coconut butter-butter-cinnamon-truvia mixture on top and some turkey bacon - same thing for Hubby.

Lunch while we were running around we went to Chipotle and I had a salad w/chicken and black beans, cheese, guac, and hot sauce and water.

snack was some almonds and walnuts.

dinner was some green beans and the few wings that was left. and some RediWhip for desert.

I know some of you are having a hard time and that this is not easy for all of us, but I promise if you give it your all - you will love the results. Even though I am going thru a lot and I am in Pre-Menopause, overall I feel great and healthy and the smallest I have been in over 25 years.

Yesterday Hubby read something online and said to me: "Did you know that Tyra Banks was a size 4 when she first started modeling? Now you could be a model too." He is so silly... He is so silly - too much giggly skin - never gonna happen - but it was a nice thought. Ha-Ha.

Well that's it for now. I hope you all have a great day.
I added a few new blogs to my list - so don't forget to go support them in their weight loss journey too.

We can do so much better when we all stick together.

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

My thought for the day:

Right Direction

If we are facing in the right direction, all we have to do is keep on walking.

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  1. Hi Rosalie... I'll have to try the tuna, cucumber dish that you made. I'm always looking for new meal ideas :) I think it's so wonderful that your husband gives you sweet compliments. Nothing better than a supportive partner!! Have a great BFC weekend :)

  2. Hi Tyra!! That was sweet of your hubby to say. I don't have any owls around here at the moment, but I have heard them in the past at night, when they go whoooo, whoooo. That was annoying. I saw a fox run across my side yard into the woods this morning when I was coming back from walking the dogs. Good think I didn't let them off their leashes as I sometimes do when we are walking up the driveway. This fox screeches and makes horrible wailing noises at night. I heard it is a mating call. Just wanted to say thanks again for all you do to support us and keep us going forward. I know I would have given up a long time ago if it wasn't for you. I'm not your best student, but I'm inching my way along. Can you change my weight to 174? And that was with a graduation and bachelorette weekend. I'll take it!!! Hugs and love from me to you!

  5. Size 4 ... you ARE my role model. I keep telling myself that you and I are so similar (starting weight and height) that I can be just like you if I apply myself. I know because of you that this is a new lifestyle to be adopted not a quick fix diet. Thanks for your continued blogging that show me it CAN be done!

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
