Yish - GRR - Yawn

Hello Friends,

How is everyone?? I am a bit tired today. So what else is knew - right?

You all remember me mentioning that my step-daughter Nicole is a dancer and actually got a gig as a back up dancer with Lady Ga-Ga. She has been practicing for a couple months here in LA and tomorrow (Thursday) she is flying out with the group on a world tour. This is very exciting for her. She will be gone for a LONG time and to many different countries.

Well about a month ago Hubby mentions to me that we might have to take care of her little dog. I already have 2 and said "NO". I don't want 3 dogs and not a little tiny one. Well he never mentioned it again until Monday when he says that we have to go get her dog. I was fuming - but what can I do? I am forced to adopt another dog without any say in the matter.
This is Olive - GRRR
That is me saying GRR, I absolutely don't want a tiny dog. But she is kind of cute.

Yesterday (Tuesday) the whole day was spent driving around and waiting and doing stuff for her before she leaves.
my breakfast yesterday - Tuesday
my breakfast this morning - flaxseed muffin
Between running around yesterday we stopped at Jack in the box and I had some chicken strips and a side salad.

My lunch today; I made one of those low carb buns and a turkey patty, pepper jack cheese, jalapenos and veggie chips. It was real good like that.
Dinner last night; some broccoli and brussel sprouts and a almond flour 2 min muffin. I ate lunch so late thats all I wanted.

Tonight I had a spinach salad and wings.

Today hubby and I spent all day shredding stuff. We had a previous Windshield Repair business that has been closed for many years. I have all the files in boxes marked according to year. We argued about the shredding stuff. I said it is our responsibility to shred all of the info even though it was from 1996 and forward. He thought we don't - but I made him, and we didn't get it all done but it seemed like a ton and then ran out of room in our trash can. LOL

Well there is always next week. I am sore and tired. No sleep last night of course - I was upset about that dog - but I am getting used to her a bit.

Well thanks for listening to me today.Lots of love to you all.

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

My thought for the day:

Be Aware

Be aware that what you think, to a large extent, creates the emotions that you feel. See the link between your thinking and your emotions. Rather than being your thoughts and emotions, be the awareness behind them.

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  5. Hi Roslie,

I haven't commented in a while but I have still been foloowing your blog. My current weight is at 151 and I have created my own blog http://youmecoffee.blogspot.com/ to document my journey. Thanks for inspiring us all. Also I'm very jealous of your step daughter. I was a dancer for 10 years and had always hoped to dance professional....on to new dreams now.

  6. I am sure the little dog will grow on you. When my daughter moved in last November she brought her dog and it made 3 for us and she is now like a part of the family. That is pretty awesome about your step daughter going on tour with Lady Ga Ga

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
