Garlic-Lemon shooters...

Hi Friends,

It looks like the weather is going to get colder over here and rain this weekend. So I have to make sure to get my walks in each day until then.

I don't know about you all but I am tired since the time change. I wake up and look at the clock and it says 4am - but you really know its 3am, blah.

My breakfast today:
A Lemon, chia seed flax muffin w/cream cheese and natures hollow on top and some berries and turkey bacon.

I must have gone up and down the stairs a zillion times (well at least it felt that way). I was working upstairs at my desk doing tons of computer and paperwork. I was up there for 5 hours and had to keep going back down for something.

While I was up there I put a head of cauliflower in a pot of water to boil and went back up and just knew I would remember to come back down in like 10 minutes. So after a while I smelled the cauliflower aroma - OH CRAP!! Ran down - luckily caught it in plenty of time.

My lunch today in between the up and down:

Then around 3 I decided to call it a day and go for a walk with the girls. Oh I was already tired but went anyways. Our 2.5 mile walk was very nice but took about 5 minutes longer. Beautiful day around 70 and sunny.

snack today: a handful of almonds and 1 of these:

Have you had any of Virgils Zero sodas? They are sweetened w/stevia and are 0/0, All the stevia sodas that I have tried still taste like a diet soda to me - but if you remember, I drank one of those baddies every day PRE-BFC, so I really don't mind the taste at all.

dinner: was 6 buffalo wings and some shredded cauliflower mixed w/1/2 avocado cut up, little bit of cheese, 1 spoon of ricotta cheese and butter and sea salt. I know weird but it was good.

So I keep forgetting to tell you that my Hubby has been making the both of us these Garlic-Lemon-Red pepper shooters. He puts honey in his and a bit of my S/F syrup in mine. He saw it on Dr Oz a while back. Its supposed to be good for you. The first time he gave it to me - I was like YUCK! But then it kind of grows on you and he makes it spicy and now I like it. You just drink it like a shot of tequilla. LOL

Did anyone see that episode with Montel on there??

Well that's it for now. Thanks for listening and big HUGS today.

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

My thought for the day:

Where You Stand

Where you now stand is a result of thoughts and feelings that you have offered before, but where you are going is a result of your perspective of where you now stand.

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  1. You definitely eat healthy! I don't think I would be able to get that shooter down!

  2. I was thinking of adding garlic to my daily spinach drink. What is the purpose of the drink? For my kidney stones I'm supposed to have lemon water, but it has to be real lemons, not an extract. Let us know!

  3. Isn't the drink suppose to help speed up metabolism or something to that affect. I think I heard this somewhere.

  4. I have been looking for that episode online that he saw, but can't find it. He said it is supposed to suppress your appetite, lower cholesterol, good for your heart and lots of stuff. I do know that Garlic and lemon is real healthy and good for you.
He mushes up the garlic and squeezes a fresh lemon, adds the cayenne pepper and a bit of honey for him and my natures hollow S/F syrup for me.
Then you just chug it down like a shot.
If I find the episode I will post.

  6. I love garlic and eat a ton of it in my cooking already! All of those things are supposed to be great for you for different reasons. I also like a tiny bit of cayenne pepper in my tea or I get those Yogi teas that Dawn recommended that have the cayenne in them. It is supposed to rev up your metabolism, plus I like the little kick it adds to the tea.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
