Don Be Mad....

Good Morning Friends,

It is Saturday Morning over here in Southern Cali and it is supposed to be cold and maybe rainy over this weekend. When I say cold, to us- that's under 60. haha. Time to get out the sweaters and light jackets.

I feel a bit better today but not 100%. I have been hacking my few brains that I have left out. I think that made me lose more weight and I feel like I have been doing sit-ups. My weight is now 148. That's 90 whole pounds gone from 1 person. I really can't believe that!

I am not one of those people that - Oh-Yeah I reached my goal now let's see if I can lose just 5 more. Nope that's not me. My original goal that I set for myself was to get between 145-150 lbs. I figured that by my age and height of almost 5'7" and my medium sized frame and trying to remember that I was 125 in high school, I thought 145-150 was doable and would not make me look too skinny.

So as long as I stay bet 145-150 I am happy!! I think that we as women need a cushion like that of at least 3 lbs. As I said in my last post I really thought that once I got to this weight I would be a size 10. To my surprise I now fit into a 6. I didn't want to be a 6 - That's just the way things turned out. I loved saying that I was an 8.

So PLEASE don't be mad or envious of me at all.  I am not special. I am just a regular person that happened to find out the perfect plan for me. It worked for me - at my age! Wow! I am wearing my size 6's today and hubby kept staring at me. I was a little uncomfortable and said "what do you want? Why do you keep looking at me like that?" He said sorry you just look so good.
Sorry this is me taking the picture in the mirror myself again. I am wearing the new sweater I got and Lee size 6 jeans.

Thanks for listening and lots of love to you all. Don't forget to support my friends blogs on the list below. And let me help yo if you need it. Don't be embarrassed. Just ask and I am here for you.

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

OK so I will leave you today with this thought of the day:

Kindness

Kindness Positive QuoteKindness is an inner desire that makes us want to do good things even if we do not get anything in return. It is the joy of our life to do them. When we do good things from this inner desire, there is kindness in everything we think, say, want and do.

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  3. You look awesome Rosie! Oh what I wouldn't give to be 5'7. LOL! I'm barely pushing 5'3! I hope you didn't think that I was mad or anything at your weight or size when I said I was being competitive with the size 6. I just felt like I need to get back into a size 4. I was a size 0 in HS, but that's too skinny for a 40 yr old. I agree that we need a few extra pounds as we get older or we will look gaunt and haggered (oh the joys of age) LOL! I'm very very proud of you for sticking with the BFC for so long! You definitely keep me on track! :)

  4. That really sucks that you have to deal with ppl being envious of your success! Dieters have enough issues going, and then to deal with that! They should all be THRILLED that you have found a solution that works so well for you. THRILLED! Jealousy is founded in unhappiness in one's self. Don't let them get you down Rosalie.

  5. Amen, Amber! We just can't compare ourselves to each other. We are all different sizes and shapes and the scale doesn't show that.

Rosalie, I am so happy for you and all that you've accomplished.

  6. ONE of the reasons you continue to motivate is that you are just a 'regular' person-who's done something remarkable. It' motivating to the rest of us 'regular' people.

  13. Rosalie, you look awesome in that picture! I hope no one gets jealous because I think what everyone has to remember is that you've been working at this for a long time. Those of us that our still getting there have to give ourselves the same kind of time! If I get discouraged I sometimes look back over your blogs to remind myself that I can do it if I stick with the plan and give myself time.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
