I was not prepared for that...

Hello my friends,

Well Monday I took my car to the shop and decided to walk all the way home. I was not sure how far it was - maybe 4 miles?? Hubby told me not to walk - have them give me a ride back. The shop told me the same thing. I told them taht if I could not make it I would call them back.

And it was H-O-T! Well I made it and it was 3.9 miles so my guess was right.

That night I went to the family night thing to visit my son. His Ex went with me. We got there on time this time - Whew!! So we all sit in a circle accross from the person you are htere to see. As the meeting progresses, we realize that something happened the day before and he is saying that he is gonna leave.

I was not prepared for that and wound up taking him home with me. I called my hubby on the way to tell him and he said - You gotta be f-ing kidding me!! He was pissed at me like it was my fault or something. Hasn't really spoken to me very much since. I told him what am I supposed to do - leave him in the street and let him go do drugs again? He is my son after all.

Monday I ate:
breakfast; 2 eggs,2 oasis toast w/ butter and Joseph's sugar free peanut butter, 1/2 avocado, coffee, blah, blah, blah. S-3-C-1

Lunch; 1/2 cup (dry) wheat pasta w/chicken and pesto sauce, spinach salad w/goat cheese, bacon bits, balsamic dressing.  S-3/C-2

dinner; salad at chipotle S-2/C-1

Tuesday I ate:
breakfast; 2 french toast mad w/oasis bread, 2 1/2 turkey bacon, 3 black berries,3 respberries, coffee blah, blah, blah.  S-5/C-1

lunch; chicken strips at carl's Jr and a side salad wblue cheese.  S-2/C-1

dinner; asparagus, zuchinni, mushrooms, chicken, pesto sauce.  Redi Whip for desert.  S-3/C-1

Well it's now after 8pm and I just finished my evening walk of 3.2 miles tonight. I thought if I stepped it up on my walks, lately it would help with gly thighs and maybe some more weight opposite. LOL.

Oh well - at least it makes me feel great!! I try to go at a steady fast pace and take big strides. That way I can feel it more in my thighs and butt area.

Well I'm kind of tired and my middle-heimers are catching up to me and can't think of what else I wanted to say. So I will say - Have a great day everyone....

P.S. Kaj, You can buy some of the flavored stevia (stevita). It's on my amazon.com widget to the left, I use that or powdered cream, truvia and cinnamon in my morning coffee :-)

  1. Holy crap Rosalie, you have a ton on your plate. I hope something works out with your son..I feel for you, what were you supposed to do? I hope he is able to stay clean. At least you know that we are all here for you.

    Kudos on the walk, I bet it felt good to know that you can do a long walk like that.

  3. I think all that walking really helps! I really need to start some kind of walking everyday. I'm trying to start blogging on my weigh in days (Wednesdays) but don't really know how to list my blog here. Down to 179lbs today. Also I have four sons, so I know how they can really play on your emotions! We get so mad at some things they do and some choices they make, but we still just love them so darn much!

    I had the chicken trips at Carl's Jr. a couple of weeks ago. They are quite tasty:)

  7. Great Job! Instead of pigging out, you walked out your stress!!!! It sounds like you did everything right for your son in his situation! He needs support and that's what you gave him. Good going on all fronts! I hope your hubby mellows out and realizes that a mother can't just turn her back on her child! Good Luck and keep us updated on your blog!

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
