I Did This...............

Hello my fellow BFC Friends,

First I'll start with what I ate today:
breakfast; 2 eggs w/cheese, turkey bacon, 2 toast w Oasis bread and butter, coffee, blah, blah, blah.  S-2/C-1
lunch; a chicken pesto pizza like in my video  S-2/C-1
snack; some pork rinds 0/0
dinner; brussel sprouts, broccoli, chicken wings, and 2 squares of Lindt 85% chocolate and rediwhip for desert.   S-4/C-0

I walked today 3.2 miles. I felt great after. I felt like a timex, I just could have kept going.

OK - So - remember that I sent my info to Jorge when he posted on his Facebook page that he wanted some success stories??

They emailed me back and sent a release form that they wanted me to sign and said I was gonna be in their next book.

I decided to do it and sent them more before and after pictures and then waited for a response. Nothing. I emailed him (Oliver) back and asked if he had everything they needed and I hadn't heard from them?? Nothing.

Then on June 8th I get this message on Facebook from Jorge himself:
Hi!! So proud of you. Email me please.( his email address was here)

Xo


So I was excited!! I emailed him like he asked.


2 days go by and no response from him so I sent him this message back on facebook.


H, i I did email you back on Thursday. I don't know if you got it, but my email is: rosaliehaggins@hotmail.com. Maybe it went into you junk email 


  • Still nothing....

    So I emailed the other guy that was in contact with me Evan, I sent him this:
    Hello Evan,

    I am emailing you because Oliver has not responded. I sent him all the info and pictures he asked for and I never got any response back from him.

    I did get an email from your office with the link to the new book along with many others I assume. I am in there but with the wrong name - It says Rebecca, I am Rosalie and I am 5"7". Maybe you can send this info to the right person and correct it? 

    Also, Jorge messaged me on Facebook and said for me to email him, I did and he never responded either???

    Sorry to bother you, but I feel a tiny bit hurt and offended that they would take my info and pictures and then never respond back.

    That was 2 1/2 days ago. and still nothing.

    I checked back on the link to his new book and my picture is still in there but all the info has been changed to stuff that has absolutely nothing to do with me. It's on page 166. 

    I am not really sure what to think except that I feel used. I feel that Jorge is just in it for the money, I have said that before.

    I feel like just telling them that I changed my mind and don't use my info or pictures, but I signed the release.

    Don't get me wrong, I love that I found the BFC, but I did this alone. He had absolutely nothing to do with that. He just wrote the book. 

    I am not mad - I am confused and I think they are very unprofessional and rude!!

    Whatever.........

I would contact a lawyer and find out what you can do for them misrepesenting you, yes you signed a release on what you that was true information, but they did hold to their bargin and thus makes the contract null and void, I would find a lawyer and fast and stop the book until it is either corrected or your info is taken out of the book!

    I noticed that Jorge was going to be out of the country this week(s) and he may follow up with on his return or when he is settled in. I believe all will work out accorindgly. Hang in there and thank you agian for supporting us on this journey. Peace, E

  8. Jorge posted that he was in Italy right now so I hope that makes you feel better! I know that with your blog and all of your fabulous progress that they will use you in the new book! Hopefully it's just one of those hurry up and then wait situations. I tried the Oasis bread as toast this morning and love it! Keep on Bloggin......I really need your tips! :)

  9. Rosalie, I think the book is just in the very, very early stages. Ive seen a version where everything is right for your profile, except your name. So dont get discouraged! He has an extremely small staff & they are not good at personalized attention, but you already knew that! What you describe is very typical of my experience. We all did this on our own, nobody lost the weight for us or held our hands. Remember why you decided to do it in the 1st place and if you are still uncomfortable, then let them know.

    I agree that YOU did this. BFC gave tools but they are worthless if YOU aren't doing the work. On way home from vacation last week my hubby was saying how he felt like I gave too much credit to BFC rather than myself. I know I am very conscious of what I eat now- my pantry is full of regular food (hubby & kids are very athletic so they eat whatever they want) & my food- their food (sugary) seems tempting but I always stop myself. I know I consume less calories now than I did before- a.m. coffees were at least 100 cal. extra due to sugar alone, unsweetened almond milk vs. real milk-- 110 cal difference per cup. Those kind of things add up over the course of a day/week/month/year- lost over 25 pounds in last 18 months but that's because I am mindful of what I eat. The credit I give to BFC is that it made me realize what a trigger sugar was for my "false hunger." So by following 15 g per day limit, I don't feel as "hungry" as I did when consuming sugary stuff. I do consume butter, cream, oils, nuts, etc because I find that fat is crucial for my feeling satiated- yes it's calories but it stops the hunger that made me eat more during the course of a day. I am pretty much at my goal weight and yet I still use BFC guidelines because I feel very satisfied by what I eat now and have no desire to go back to "before." Congrats on YOUR weight loss. You deserve all the kudos because let's face it, it's a lot easier to just mindlessly eat than to make conscious decisions. My grocery shopping (reading labels for S/C) is time consuming but I'll do it if it means I keep getting mistaken for a HS girl at my kids track practices. BTW, I'm over 40 so that's an awesome mistaken identity. =) Keep up the awesome work!!!

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
