Year 2, Tuesday wk 6 on the Belly Fat Cure

Hello all,

I do feel a bit better today. Thanks for the nice comments and to know that I am not alone in feeling like that once in a while. I have also been having a headache probably from the cold that has been chasing me.

I just got back from my daily walk with my 2 doggies. I have to do it every day whether I feel like it or not. They just sit and stare at me and won't leave me alone if we don't go by around 4pm. They sit and give me that voo-doo doggie stare, until I give in.

I walk anywhere from 1-3 1/2 miles a day depending on how many times I feel like going around the area. I have to say that it usually makes me feel great, and I really look forward to my daily walk. But over the weekend nothing helped. I use my ear piece and listen to music as I go. I actually feel funny if I don't go.

OK so I have a question.
Why is it that every time I go to the bathroom I have to leave the door open. If I shut it my 2 dogs freak out and I think they believe there is an escape hatch in there somewhere and I will get away. and they think it is baby petting and love time. I always have to tell them - this is mommy potty time. Just a funny thing I wanted to share.

Yesterday I ate:
breakfast; 2 eggs, smart and delicious wheat tortilla w/cheese, 2 turkey bacon,  w/ my coffee blah, balh, blah.

Lunch; we went to Islands restaurant and I had some chicken tortilla soup w/o the tortillas in it and a cesar salad and about 12 fries dipped in ranch.

dinner; I made some salmon patties.
1 can of salmon, 2 eggs, some onions and mushrooms and garlic cut up, then fried in a pan in some Olive oil. All I can say it umm umm good. And I had it with some broccoli.

Today I ate:
breakfast; scrambled eggs w/ mushrooms, onions, and cheese, w/2 turkey bacon, 8 blackberries, and a orowheat multi-grain sandwich thin w/ butter and josephs sugar free preserves. coffee, blah, blah, blah

lunch; a spinach salad w/tuna, feta cheese, avocado, little bit of zuchinni cut up, mayo, then on the side I had 3 kinds of cheese small amt of ea, guda, sheep and goat cheese w/ some veggie straws.

for dinner tonight I am gonna have my stir-fry veggies w/ tofu and shirataki noodles.

Oh - By the way....Peggy lost 2 lbs last week, so a big shout out and a Way To Go Girl for her!! Keep going and you will be in hundies in no time.

I always have so much to say, but for the life of me - I can't think of it right now. I guess my middle-heimers kicked in.  LOL!

  1. I'm so glad to hear you are feeling better today! As for the dogs, it must be catching, as my dog is the same, lol. And, my cat, who thinks that when you are sitting on the toilet it is an invite for her to jump on your lap, too funny!

  2. Yeah, I got them too! Got to be close by what ever I am doing. I usually get a few toys brought to me when I'm on the pot. It's all about play time with my two. Walking really is so good for us to do. I've stopped going lately because I'm so tired after work, I just want to come home and put my feet up. I notice I don't feel as good if I don't walk however.

  3. Haha too funny about the dog thing. Mine don't care if I go into the bathroom really. My bigger dog usually likes to sit near where ever I am thought. But they have other weird quarks that I think are absolutely crazy. First both my dogs fight over the same bed every night, which I think is hilarious. They both are the same cushiony material but one is a circle and one is a rectangle, lol go figure what is that all about?? The other weird quark is every single time I dry my hair they come running in the bathroom like mommy mommy!!! And all they wanna do is be right underneath me. Maybe they like the warm hair dryer blowing or something.

    Looks like your food was great choices like always. One day I will have the strong enough will power as you do. I have been doing pretty good but I can't shake this 207 this week, but I know there are some standstills. Maybe it was the choice of the higher carbs at night twice this past week. I gotta work on that.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
