For some reason I am feeling in good spirits today. I have truly been thinking about that post of Sherri's regarding how we feel about ourselves. I am trying to have a good mental attitude from now on. It's not easy sometimes when the negative stuff follows me around like Linus's blanket.
Like I said yesterday - I think our mental state really does have a lot to do with how we loose weight. We really need to stop getting so depressed and upset when our weight goes up 1 or 2 lbs. It's usually just the #2 problem and will go back down in no time.
I Remember before the BFC, my weight would always go up and down 5lbs over night. I never wanted to just give up on life then. And, OH yeah, I weighed myself everyday even before I started this. I've always been kind of spazzy about that. Don't know why.
I want to thank Peggy, Lindsay and Sherri for the wonderful comments from yesterday and reminding me of some things. Amber thanks for letting me know that I am not crazy or alone, that means a lot to me.
Yeah those are really pictures of me on my weight loss progress page. Sometimes it seems like forever ago and sometimes it seems like just yesterday.
All my jeans were so tight that I had to always leave the top button opened.
I found that I wasn't fitting into seats in the movies very good any more.
I couldn't leave the armrest down in the car, cause it would push against my fat hips.
My feet and ankles starting swelling up the last few years real bad. My hubby the fireman, would say - "That's Adema" some kind of problem with my heart.
I used to eat, eat, eat when I felt bad or good. It didn't matter, I loved junk food.
I have to say that all that stuff above that was wrong with me is gone now. I am just a regular person who got fat over the years. I think I was a size 14 when I met hubby over 20 years ago. I am now wearing size 8 & 10.
Come On People!! YOU CAN DO THIS!! I did - so can you!
OK so yesterday I was gonna make myself some dinner and tried to think of a different way to make the veggie stir-fry always make. I was not in the mood for tofu or chicken either.
So I invented:
Stir-Fry Beef Strogganoff ( and I don't know how to spell it)
Prepare your veggies like usual. Cut up and str fry in EV Olive Oil.
I used: celery, zuchinni, mushrooms, yellow onion, asparagus, garlic.
about half way done, add some Braggs and the Baby Bok Choy.
meanwhile remember the big bag of meatballs I said I got at Sam's Club? Take about 7 of those and microwave for 1-2 minutes to defrost. (they are fully cooked) then cut into pieces.
add meatballs into the veggies.
Then put in some alfredo sauce - I poured in some from the jar, about 1/4-1/2 cup.
I used this one:
Warm up all together for a few minutes, top with some parmesan cheese then ENJOY!
OOOh, OOOh, OOOh, the flavors from the braggs and the alfredo sauce together was just magic.
YUM, YUM!!
Well thanks for listening. Lots of love to all. Please leave your comments.
My thought for the day :
Keep on BFC ' n :-)

OMG that sounds sooooo delicious!! I am going to get some meatballs and try this or maybe I will make some this weekend. :) Thanks for sharing!! I agree with you and Sherri both, our mood is everything because I know when I feel depressed the numbers on the scale seem to stay put and when I am happy like I have been the past couple of days the weight is melting off. Weird, but true I would say. Maybe its stress and anger holding onto those fats in our body. I feel so much better just eating this way for the past 7 weeks so I know you must feel awesome eating this way from over a year! Your BFC Sisters are so proud of you! =)
ReplyDeleteHEy Rosalie! Thanks for the text today! It was a nice surprise for sure! This does sound very delish and easy. What is Braggs and what does it taste like and where do you buy it? Just curious. Hope you are doing great!

Hey Sherri, Braggs is like soy sauce. there is a picture of it on the tab that says products or also you can find it on the widget at the top from Amazon.com. :-)
ReplyDeleteRosalie, Great blog and like Sherri and you are saying the way we feel about ourselves can effect our weight loss. I have been feeling pretty down lately since my weight loss has just stopped. My doctor has given my a couple of things to see if that helps with my metabolism and still working on getting my thyroid working right. But hey I should be thankful for the weight I have lost already huh? I want to give that recipe a try sounds delish!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean too Rosalie, i was such an emotional eater too! I would'nt eat all day, then i would binge like crazy at night, all carb laden stuff that made me feel just awful. Now that i've done this for over a year and have lost 50lbs., this crazy emotion comes into my head that somehow i should reward myself with a piece of cake(that was my downfall, white cake w/ white frosting) i haven't done it yet because this way has helped me with the control and the thought of all the sugar in my cells! I just feel too good to screw it up now!! It's just hard work to control those emotions, my husband can take it or leave with no emotion what so ever! It sucks! We just have to keep supporting each other, it helps so much to know it's not just me!! Thanks for that Rosalie, you have helped many through this journey!!
