Year 2, Tuesday wk 2 on the Belly Fat Cure

Hi all,

Well I got a new camcorder yesterday. So I am excited to try it out. I will do the Stir-fry for you.

I just got the phone call for my dad's burial. It's gonna be in the morning in Vegas. So I have to pick up Maria's niece who lives around here in Tustin and bring her with me. Then she will stay for a week or so and probably fly back. Hubby took 3 days off work so he can go with me.

So here is the problem. My sister, Lisa who is the nurse, has been wanting to move here to California. She set up an interview at the children's hospital in LA on Thursday morning. She called me last week and said she is flying in and of course she will stay with me and will I take her to the interview?

So now everything is kind of messed up. Hubby has to take his mom to the doctors at 2pm today. After that he will come home and Maria's niece will get dropped off at my house and the 3 of us will drive to Vegas around 5pm ish.

Then the burial in the morning at 9am. Then hubby, Lisa and I will drive home in the afternoon tomorrow because remember Lisa has the interview on Thursday morning. Then I will drive Lisa to her interview in the morning then drop her off at the airport so she has to go right back home cause she works Friday.

So that's whats going on.

Yesterday I ate:
breakfast; cherrios w/truvia and unsweetened almond breeze, 2 turkey bacon, 8 blackberries, coffee, blah, blah, blah.
lunch; open faced tuna melt w/ some veggie straws.
dinner chicken and veggies. after 2 squares of 85% lindt dark chocolate w/ redi-whip
Then my super seed w/water because I was out running around today and wanted to make sure I took it.

Thanks for listening. Love to all of my BFC friends. Please leave your comments.

My thought for the day:

Inward Behavior

Can one behave the same inwardly, whatever the circumstances? Can one’s behaviour spring from within and not depend on what people think of you, or how they look at you?
Go forth today and be yourself! Reconnect to the peace that resides within, that is separate from your external reality. And once you do, you will realize, that this sense of peace was there all along…Have a wonderful day.
Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  1. Goodness, what a hectic schedule. Hugs go out to you for I know its tough to go through this burial service for you father plus all the driving all around. But you are an amazing person being there for your family. :) Can't wait to see your video post. And that Tuna Melt sounds yummy. I wish I had a little toaster oven at work so I could make one.

Question---Do you think its bad to have white bread if the count is 22g carbs/3g sugar per 2 pieces? My hubby will only eat white bread, and if I buy two loafs it ends up getting moldy before I can finish them. The brand of white bread I get is the Sunbeam Giant loaf. I don't eat much of it, but if I am having toast and eggs or a sandwich...this is my bread of choice.

  2. Yes Lindsay - NO WHITE BREAD!! It's not healthy for you. If you have to buy him 2 loafs - put one in the freezer. I always keep my bread in the fridge it keeps it fresher longer and it won't get moldy.
    Have a great day :-)

  4. What a crack up Rosalie (referring to Bloopers). Love it. You're husband is a great sport! Don't think mine would be patient enough to even hold the camera, let alone film me talking. Your week sounds hectic girl. Hope everything goes well, and your back home safely. To Lindsay: Why are you buying two loaves? Unless you're buying 2 from Costco for the price of one; and then you can mix bread, buy his kind, and buy your kind. I freeze mine, and toast it every morning. Never goes stale, or moldy. White bread is like eating white flour, no nutritional value. Try to buy whole grain, sprouted, organic...

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
