Year 2, Monday starting wk 2 on the Belly Fat Cure

Good Morning to all of our BFC Peeps.

Well I have been experimenting this past week with the fiber thing. I have found early on in doing the Belly Fat Cure that going #2 is a big issue for more than half of us.

Usually I take Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. This is the best way for me to be able to go #2 every day. This past week I have only taken the Super seed 2 times, just to see if I really needed it at all.

So now I am back up the 2lbs I have lost because I was not able to go #2 every day at all. So now I consider my experiment finished. I really do need both types of fiber every day. Although I do eat fiber in my food w/ veggies and other things It's really not enough.

I know many of us have this problem. I have tried many different things in the past year, and have found these 2 to be the most tolerable and effective for me.

So this morning I switched it up a bit for breakfast. I had a bowl of plain cheerios w/truvia and unsweetened Almond Breeze, 2 turkey bacons, 8 blackberries, and my coffee w/truvia, benefiber, powdered cream, and cinnamon.

The longer you do the BFC, the more you will learn not to take so seriously that little gain once in a while. Remember the way our weight went up and down that 5lbs over night all the time before. We didn't want to jump off a cliff because of it before, so why act that way now??

Just shake it off -  Suck it up - And go on and just keep doing it.

Girls, I will be making videos on a regular basis, but I have to get a new camera first. Ours took a dump. So maybe in the next few days.

  1. I have this fiber problem, so maybe I should start trying your recommendations on the benefiber or super seed. The first week, I did this diet...I had to take milk of magnesa or whatever you call that stuff, b/c I could never go. TMI...so sorry! ;) Its weird when you eat really healthy you would think there is no problem, but for me in that dept there is. With the unhealthy food, there is no problem. Okay enough about that..haha!!

  2. I think it is good to experiment like that! Things change over time. I also had Benefiber and a probiotic daily and for my last 10 lbs or so I stopped with both. I was really afraid, because they helped so much I thought. But I hoped I had replaced my good gut bacteria and we getting that plus enough fiber just from my food. That was a long time ago, I'm thinking of adding back Benefiber now. Your doing great Rosalie!! These last couple of lbs will be the hardest, but you will get there.

  3. I need to start taking benefiber on a daily basis. I have always had the #2 problem. I should also try the super seed. Maybe that is why my weight loss has stalled.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
