Year 2, Sunday wk 3 on the Belly Fat Cure

Good Morning All,

First of all, I just want to say thanks for all the kind words you always leave on my blog. I appreciate it even more than you know. Even though you say that I keep you going, in reality - you all keep me going as well.

I am so glad that we have all bonded so well and have formed this little group of ours. GO TEAM BFC!!

Yesterday I ate:
breakfast; 2 pcs of french toast made w/Oasis bread, w/butter and Josephs sugar free syrup, 2 turkey bacon, 6 of each blueberries and blackberries, coffee, blah, blah, blah.
lunch; a pizza made w/ a SaraLee wheat pita, seeds of change pasta sauce, cheese, mushrooms, turkey pepperoni. and some veggie straws w/ a little sour cream to dip.

DINNER:
Hubby and I went out to eat at this restaurant we have never been to but passed many times. It is called Wood Ranch BBQ and Grill here in Chino Hills. I really never wanted to go there because I thought it would be just BBQ stuff that I couldn't have so I would just smell and see all that yummy stuff that was forbidden for me.

So went anyway, cause Monday is Valentines day and hubby will be working and it is also our 17th year anniversary. I have to say that it was such a great dinner and we were so happy and full when we left.
I had prime rib w/asparagus and a cesar salad.

Hubby had beef and pork ribs and tri-tip w/sweet potatoes and asparagus and we split a bottle of cabernet savignon red wine.
Usually I don't drink that much since I started the BFC. I know Jorge says that you can have 2 glasses of Red Wine every night, but I don't agree with that at all! If we actually did that I don't think we would lose any weight at all!

We all know how fattening alcohol is, so I usually save it for special times like last night. I even had 2 little bites of the dinner roll which was so good.

So this morning I had eggs w/ a little chorizzo and mushrooms and cheese in it, 2 turkey bacon, 8 blackberries, and coffee, blah blah, blah.

What ever you all choose to do on Monday, Try not to over eat just because it's A DAY. Make good choices and just have fun!

Thanks for listening. Lots of Love to all of my BFC friends. Please leave your comments.

My thought for the day:

The first duty of love is to listen.
Listen today. Listen to a friend or a loved one. Listen to your partner – are you really hearing what they are saying to you? Listen to nature, it has so much to offer. Listen to your inner wisdom – are you listening to your own intuition? Listen to your highest Self. Listen like a bee listens to the rhythm of a flower.
Have a wonderful day.

Keep on BFC ' n :-)

  1. yeah for that beef dinner :) just to let you know I'm back from my cruise..I stepped on the scale this morning with GREAT distress, but to my amazement, I was only up 1 lb..I am estatic! We never take the elevators and use the steps, worked out every day except once, and I tried to enjoy myself but not to over eat. So happy!!! we had glorious warm weather and had to leave early cause of a big storm that was coming thru, so was gone just shy of 2 weeks. missed u all :)

  3. Rosalie, you continue to be my inspiration. I have so much to lose and lose so slowly (not what one would expect of someone my size). My new montra comes from one of your older posts "Even if you are not losing, just keep doing it and it will eventually come off." Well, I've been doing BFC for 4 weeks and I'm happy to report I've lost 4 pounds... but don't change my stats just yet (I had gained some before starting again). Thanks for being there :-) Ru

  4. Hi Rosalie,
Sounds like a yummy dinner. So glad to hear that you were able to find something that worked for you. I have been struggling on the weekends and have had a head cold which isn't helping.. So good to read your blogs to keep me inspired. Keep me in your thoughts as I head out for vacation next week and try to keep my sanity..
    Thank you,
    Beechy

  5. My hubby and I celebrated our 29th Anniversary and Valentines Day dinner out too. We had Prime Rib, Salad Bar, Br. Rice (he had the baked Potato with the Works), and coffee. It was so good but we bought home a lot of the meat, because the salad filled us up. So Happy Anniversary/Valentines Day to you both.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
