Year 2, Saturday wk 5 on the Belly Fat Cure

Good Morning to all,

Lets see - yesterday I started out going to my friends house. She got a new internet connection and is definitely computer illiterate. I love her but she is not electrically inclined. LOL! So I set it all up for her and then we went out to breakfast at Mimi's Cafe. 

That place was packed and I had coffee and about half of my breakfast of and omelet w/ cheese, avocado, bacon, and spinach, a few bites of potatoes and a piece of rye bread w/butter. Yum!

Then I spent the rest of the day just hanging around at home balancing the check book, paying a few bills, vacuuming, and dusting. 

Lunch I ate: a spinach salad w/ a can of chicken, avocado, artichoke, guda cheese cut up, mayo, bacon bits, then 2 little josephs cookies and  a hand full of veggie straws.

snack: just super seed w/water

dinner; about 6 small meatballs, broccoli, brussel sprouts w/ some alfredo sauce and shirataki noodles all mixed up in a bowl. Then I had 2 squares of lindt 85% dark chocolate w/ some RediWhip, then a cup of decaf tea later.

Its been raining here most of the night, and its supposed to rain again later. But its cold for us - 45*.I know to some of you that is warm, but for us - Ahh..nope.

I wish some of you lived close to me so we could hang out today. Hubby is working day shift this weekend and I am kind of bored. I don't work so all the days kind of seem the same to me. 

Wah wah wah - thats enough whining for me Huh? I guess I am feeling kind of hormonal today - sorry.

  2. Just wanted to say Hi. It's snowing here and cold!! I'm making a big pot of soup and a legal chocolate cake, oh i can't wait!! Just be lazy Rosalie today, we all deserve that!!!!

  3. You are getting our Pineapple Express. We had a down pour two days ago, and today it's beautiful out. I'm sitting here reading everyone's blogs, but I really need to put the trash in the truck and get it to the dump today before it closes. It rained, and now the bags are all wet and gross, so of course I'm putting that off. Okay got to go put on my work clothes and head outside, have a relaxing weekend Rosalie.

  4. Rosalie it would be great if we all lived closer together so we could have a get together. I sure wish I was able to stay home and not be working all the time but then I have to think I am grateful I have a job to help support my home. So I guess I should not complain. Hope you have a great weekend.

  5. Isn't going out to breakfast fun? I went out with a friend today that I hadn't seen in a long time, we had a really nice time. I used to have the biggest crush on her older brother when I was in high school :)

    And I also just wanted to say I got a kick out of Lisa's "legal chocolate cake"...sounds good Lisa, I want some :)

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
