Sunday of week 49: The Belly Fat Cure

Good Morning to all of my BFC Peeps,

First I want to say hi to my new BFC friend, Jaimie Rowe. Everyone please welcome her - she and her boyfriend are new to the BFC and could use some support.

I wanted to tell you all about the wonderful day that I had yesterday. Hubby and I watched the Rose Parade and ate breakfast together of eggs w/ mushrooms and onions, cheese, tortilla, and 1 turkey sausage patty, coffee, blah, blah, blah.

Then we had a few errands to run together and decided to go and see a movie. But not just any movie...
TRON in 3D. We drove out to Anaheim on Katella near Disneyland and first ate at Bubba Gump Shrimp restaurant. We have never been there before and I have to say it was a very fun restaurant. It has lots of memorabilia all over the walls from the movie.

We shared a cesar salad with shrimp in it and we shared a appetizer platter of more different kinds of shrimp, spicey chicken strips (Wow Yum), spinach artichoke dip (I asked for celery to eat that with). and hush puppies (I had 1, they were small). Very good - I would love to go back there for dinner some time.

Then we went to the movie theater. They have these seats called D-Box. It is for 3-D movies and they were so cool!! We saw Tron 3-D in these motion seats that movie and vibrate like a ride and it was the best movie ever!! We had such a fun date and then he got called to go to work at the FD for the night shift. All good things must come to an end.

I came home and had my super seed w/water and a snack of Redi whip and 2 squares of Lindt 85% dark chocolate, watched the Twilight Zone and went to bed.

Tomorrow is my 52nd birthday and my Sis Lisa and step-mom, Maria sent me a package of a pair of jeans and a blouse. She put the gift receipt in there in case I need to take it back I guess. I saw they were from Old Navy. I held up the size 10 jeans and wondered if they would fit.

Before I started the BFC, I went into Old Navy and tried on some size 18 jeans (the size that I wore), and nope did not fit. I tried on size 20 and 22 and nope - did not fit. So I assumed that my fat ass was too big or the sizes ran way too small or probably just both.

So when I held them up, I was suspicious. I put them on and to my surprise they fit but the waist was a little too big. How do you like that?? The blouse she got me I never, ever would have worn that style and almost did not even try it on. But I said to hubby, that was before - I'm just gonna try it. I put it on and to my surprise  - I liked it. So that is what I wore yesterday with some heals, and I have to say I felt so cute! Sorry no picture this time.

Well thanks for listening. Lots of love to all of my BFC friends. Please leave your comments.

My thought for the day:

Living Fully

Living Fully, Positive QuotesLive all you can; it’s a mistake not to. It doesn’t so much matter what you do in particular, so long as you have your life. If you haven’t had that, what have you had?

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  1. glad you had such a great day yesterday! and good for you for fitting in those Old Navy clothes!! i have found they run smaller, too. well, i didn't make my end of the year goal of 192. but I am down 2.6 pounds from the last time you updated my stats. i am now 206.8. i've been good thru the holidays, didn't lose self-control or anything, but I haven't been as "strict" BFC as I should be. still no sugar, but i haven't been counting carbs or getting enough fiber and greens. time to get serious, though. buckle down and get back to losing 2 pounds a week instead of a 1/2 pound each week. keep up the good work!

  3. Welcome Jaime and boyfriend (?). You'll both do very well, just keep reading the BFC book, and all the blogs that give out information and answer questions, because in the beginning you will have lots of them. Rosalie, I used to take my son to Bubba Gumps Restaurant in Lahaina, and his favorite thing to get was a big bucket of Coconut Shrimp. I would get some type of salad. Haven't gone out to eat on that side for a long time, but it's a fun place to go. Glad to here Tron is a good movie, I loved the original. Jeff Bridges is in aother good one now - True Grit. I just saw The Fighter (good too). Finally they are coming out with better movies. I want to see Country Strong next weekend when it comes to our theaters. Have a great week. Love you all to drop in at http://kaseysfit.blogspot.com

Its just weird fits or something, but anyways I am hoping as I lose, I will be able to fit too cause I love old navy. :) You have been so awesome always posting and sharing your foods. I really thank you and we all are so proud of you!! :)

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
