Hello Everyone,
I first want to thank you for all your kind words and comments. I really appreciate all the support I get from you all. I have been doing real well the past few days over here in Vegas on the BFC. I have found that no matter where you are or who you are with there is always something Belly good I can find to eat.
I have been packing some snacks when I go over to the Hospice. So that's helpful. I have been babysitting Dad all day by myself. And yes, with him I do call it babysitting. You have to watch him every minute. He tries to get up and walk when he can't even pull himself to the upright position by himself. We keep telling him he can't get up. He just gets mad.
Well, if all is well - I am coming home tomorrow. I can't keep staying over here every other week for 5 days. I have to go home sometime.
They have a kitchen in the hospice that I keep going to all day to get free coffee and water. They always have some homemade cookies wrapped in plastic wrap sitting near the coffee. How nice of them HUH? I keep looking at them and say - Boy! a chocolate cookie would be nice right now!
But you all know that I didn't - not even once. What will power!
I have been talking to more people about the BFC like I always do.
I fell like maybe I might have gone down another pound. But I can't tell cause the scales are different.
My dad told me yesterday that he was going to live to be 100. I told him to stop threatening us! Then we all laughed.
Please cross your fingers that I can come home tomorrow.
And to anyone that is having a hard time with the BFC, or needs any help or tips or just a friend - I am here for you. I love to help anyone I can to lose weight like I have. Just friend me on Facebook and we can chat or even talk on the phone if you want.
We are Team BFC Club, and Our Motto is: WE CAN DO THIS!!
Thanks for listening. Lots of love, Love, LOVE to all of my BFC friends. Please leave your comments.
My thought for the day:
The difference between school and life? In school, you’re taught a lesson and then given a test. In life, you’re given a test that teaches you a lesson.
Keep on BFC ' n :-)

Some tips if you are having trouble
- First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
- Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
- Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
- Make sure you drink lots of water.
- Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
- Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
- Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
- Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
I hope this helps.

Sounds like your Dad feels better when you are there...you really have an inspirational and loving spirit! I am hoping that your Dad will continue to do well and you can come home tomorrow. Be safe and know we are all cheering for you!
ReplyDeletePraying for you to make it back home tomorrow. But, I bet that your Dad is praying that you'll stay longer. I don't know, but I think he might have precedence with God being that he's your father. :D
ReplyDeleteWe are all going to be faced with stressors in our life and you are a great example on how to handle this on the BFC! You are going to help a lot of people with your strength and courage. Thanks for your selfless acts of kindness, being always here for us with your support in a very difficult time in your life.
ReplyDeleteMom, I love that you have finally found your niche. It must make you feel so amazing to read all of these kind words....I even just teared up a bit. I'm so proud of you and I love you with all my heart.
ReplyDeleteWish I could be there with you to hear all of grandpa's goofy stories. I miss you all so much! We need to just invest in a private plane...tickets are too expensive :o(
So today is my 2 week weigh in and I'm down a total of 7lbs...yay!! Tyler is down close to 14lbs...SUPER YAY!!
Hugs to all of you!! Have a great day!!
Rosalie, I hope you have a safe trip back. I know how hard it is when you have a sick loved to take care of. But I know your dad is so happy to see you and how much he loves you. Take care and you are doing so great.
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome, Jackalyn and Tyler!!! You're doing great, and you're lucky that you have your Mom as a role model, support, and encouragement.
ReplyDeleteBTW, do any of you watch the Biggest Loser? I love watching that show. I haven't missed a season. I've been watching from season 1, including the extra shows in between seasons. It was a huge motivator, and still is, when I initially began losing weight.
How awesome what Jackalyn and Tyler said about you! I can't seem to get off the starting block, but you've really motivated me. I love how you decided not to cheat & just follow thru with it! So today I'm not going to cheat! Thanks a bunch.
