Saturday of week 39: The Belly Fat Cure

Hi everybody,

While I am glad that my dad is a little better, there is no place like home. I am very happy to be home. I am back on my schedule. I  can get back to my walking every day with my dogs. I really love that part of my day.

And before I forget - I AM going to see Paranormal Activity 2 today!!! I love me some scary movies.........
I only had some eggs and turkey bacon for breakfast so I can have the popcorn at the movies this afternoon. I have to give a little so I can have a little later.

This morning my weight seemed to be the same as Monday. But I am hoping that I will at least go down 1/2 lb by Monday morning.

I have noticed a lot more lately on Jorge's facebook fan page that people are really getting tired of no one answering all the questions that they have. I guess they feel that is what the fan page is for. But I think its just for more publicity for him. They are tired of seeing his pics of vacations and what he is eating.

I just want to say that Myself and everyone that reads my blog are more than happy to help or answer and questions that any new people have. We are all a team and a group here and want to see each other succeed.

Minichick was asking if anyone watches the biggest looser. I used to quite a while ago, but then I watched some special once about how after the shows the people on there never got any help. They were just kind of abandoned and many of them gained it all back because of no support or lack of money. I guess I feel they are being tricked in a way.

Cat, I am glad to help in your not cheating. You know it's just a mental thing. You have to want to lose the weight real bad. So bad that you would never do anything to mess it up. I do occasionally have a bite of something. But, I can stop at just that 1 bite. If you don't think you have enough will power, Maybe you should not take that one bite.

Like when I was at the hospice with my dad, I could have taken that 1 cookie the first day. Then I would have taken 1 every time that I went in the kitchen. That would have led to 3-4 cookies every day, and probably 5 extra pounds.

I can't do that to everything I have done for myself so far. My hubby was saying the other night.....
Boy I sure do wish I could have 1 of (.........these....) right now, or 1 of blah, blah, blah. I finally had to tell him to shut up, cause he was putting ideas in my head. NOT NICE!!!

You can't let other people try to bring you back down to eating bad. You have to kind of put them in their place. You have to make sure they understand how important this is to you!!

Listen Guys and Gal, we really have to stick together and support each other!!

  1. Hey Rosalie!!! You're ALMOST to 70lbs!!! WOW! I'm soooo very proud of you! Sorry I've been out of touch...but am trying to get everything painted before my show in Nov. Also puter fried for a week or so...ANYWAY... AM still on "the plan". Am still at 201...but at least I'm holding and not gaining! Will get more focused on ME after the show!     Starting weight was 238.4
    I've lost 25.8 (since 8/17/10)
    My TOTAL Goal is 98.4 pounds (to reach 140)
    thru the end of 2010, I would like to lose another 20 pounds for a total weight loss in 2010 of 45.8.

I have been in maintance since July - not what I had planned, wanting to drop 3#, but really just holding my own is a good thing and as everyone reaches their goal wt. this is a lifestyle we can live with. Calling it maint. mean I don't beat myself up daily or weekly when I don't see a drop in #'s - its down 1 up 2, down 3 up 1 etc.
    I totally wonder what Jorge things by committing to his daily videos - and after two days nothing. Seems to be the pattern for the BFC team. I find it irresonsible the way he and/or his team handles his FB page. Either committ fully or let it go. Rosalie - your able to comment daily and Congratulations - added stress and you are still hanging in there!!!
    That is what you need for a "lifestyle"

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
