Sunday of week 39: The Belly Fat Cure

Good Morning People,

I just had the best breakfast!! I made me some french toast with ezekiel bread and 2 strips of turkey bacon w/ Josephs syrup and a glass of unsweetened vanilla almond breeze and 2 cups of coffee, and the usual blah blah blah. I choose to eat this only once a week or less. I know its all allowed, but it does come to 3 carbs and probably a lot of calories.  Well anyway it sounds and tastes like a lot of calories. And its good!

Yesterday I saw that scary movie called: Paranormal Activity 2. Well, the first half I was thinking, where's all the real scary stuff. Sure, a few bangs and noises but where's the good stuff?? By the time I left, I was sure that I would never sleep again.....That's all I'm gonna say. If you love scary movies like I do - go see it.

Yesterday I only ate eggs and 3 strips of turkey bacon for breakfast since I knew I was going to the movies so I could make room for the calories and carbs in the popcorn. I ordered a large so I could get a refill and take it home to hubby. Oh yeah - he stayed home and I wound up going by myself. So I finished at least half the bag with no butter. But keep in mind that I had no carbs for breakfast and no lunch. The popcorn was my lunch.

When I got home for dinner I made myself some stir fry veggies for dinner w/ zucchini, a slice of yellow onion, mushrooms, celery, baby bok choy, and I added about 8 shrimps and some Braggs and a touch of sesame oil for flavor. It was very good. for desert I had 2 squares of 86% dark chocolate and I put some chocolate and white redi whip in a small bowl and ate it.

I realize that I can't eat like I did before. I just try to make adjustments sometimes to the food that I eat so I don't gain any back, like cutting out the carbs yesterday so I could have all that popcorn.

  1. I am not to much into scary movies like I use to be but maybe I will give this one a try. Or atleast go so I can enjoy some popcorn. Yesterday we went to a low carb store and I bought a little cheesecake it had only 1 carb and was made with maltitol and was so good. I only bought one so I would not be temepted to eat them all the time.

  2. Your dinner sounded great...I also eat popcorn at the movies, sounds really good right now! Great job sticking to your goals. I agree with you that if you really want this you won't cheat. I'm actually kind of afraid to cheat, because i feel so good!!

  4. Hey! Thanks for all of the support. I think my brain is "on track" with this way of eating, if that makes since. I think before I wasn't totally ready to be fully committed to the process. The past few days I've really been thinking that I want to loose weight & stick with the plan FAR more than I want to eat ____ food. Love reading your blogs!

    Oh, I almost forgot, please put me down for a 2 pound loss! Yay, now I'm at 178.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
