Wednesday of week 35: The Belly Fat Cure

I wanted to start off by saying what I ate yesterday.
Breakfast: pita pizza w/ SaraLee wheat pita w/seeds of change -romagna three cheese pasta sauce, cheese and pepperoni. 2 cups of coffee w/truvia, clear metamucil, half and half, and all my vitamins, Reslina, and Barleans.
Lunch: spinach salad w/tuna, mayo, bacon bits, croutons, avocado, blue cheese crumbles. And for desert I had 1/2 cup of clemmys.
snack: super seed w/water
Dinner:
For dinner we went out to dinner with some friends to The Yard House. I had a glass of Merlot, 3 bites of fried calamari appetizer, 1 bite of sourdough bread, and a seared Ahi tuna ceasar salad.

Today, Amber blogged about how important it is not to quit. I found that this is the main reason that I have gotten as far as I have on the BFC. I believe it is really more of a mental thing. I mean it has to come from with-in you to want this REAL BAD!

You have to reach deep down inside you and pull whatever you have in you out. To make this work - You can't give up or quit. That's as simple as that. That is the key to loosing weight.

This morning I didn't have such a great morning. Before I might have just ate myself until I felt better. One of the best things I have learned on the BFC is to not emotional eat. I have learned that I can feel bad for a minute, shake it off, and go on with my day.

Don't forget to support all of my BFC friends blogs on the list below. And please leave your info if you would like to join us and set a year end goal of your weight loss. Leave your info here and I will add it.

Thanks for listening. Much Love to all of my BFC friends. Please leave your comments.

My thought for the day:
If you have a bad day, Just shake it off  and keep going. Know that you have support and you are not in this trek alone.
Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  1. I've found it much easier to not emotionally eat while following this plan because I'm naturally not hungry. Because my blood sugar's steady, the trigger doesn't really get pulled. Hallelujah!

  2. Not only do YOU have to want it, but I think what she said about her son keeping her in check is important, too. There were times when I used to keep quiet about my diet, but now I want everyone around me to know so that when I reach for a cookie, they can say, "Do you REALLY want that?"

    It's not nagging; it's helping.

  5. I'm new to your blog - have been following Amber for quite awhile. I only have 2# to reach my goal, but the last two are not easy - my body must think its in maintenance already!!!
But this so a lifestyle, that if I don't lose the 2, its not going to bring me down.
I like the idea that you had a bite of bread and not feel you have to eat a whole loaf. This is what I like about this "lifestyle"
Just wondering what Super Seed is - sounds super healthy.
Keep up the posts - I feel like we are in a BFC Club

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
