Wednesday of week 33: The Belly Fat Cure

Good Day to everyone.

Do you all remember me telling you how I started on this BFC? My Hubby works at the Fire Dept, and he and a few guys on the first of the year started a 30 day raw food diet. That's anything that is not cooked. I told him I would eat healthy with him, but I am still eating meat and whatever else I wanted. LOL. He did lose about 25 lbs by doing that.

Well half way thru he saw something on TV about the BFC and Jorge Cruise. He said I have this book I want to buy you. I said "well you will be wasting your money". Cause he always only reads all those self help books. Well he bought it for me anyway, and I read it and I said I think I can do this.

And the rest is history!

The reason why I brought this up is - he is not on the BFC. He is eating healthy, but he does eat fruit everyday and the occasional cheating at the Fire dept. with deserts or BBQ or what ever they eat. He told me yesterday that he is down below 200 lbs for the first time in 20 years. He was kind of excited. He really has no choice but to eat the stuff I buy.

I just want to give him a Whoop-Whoop, and a at-a-boy! He thinks I never say anything good about him on here. :-)

I am working diligently at finding us a proper fiber supplement that works well with no sugar and very little carbs. I will keep you informed.

Yesterday I ate:
breakfast: eggs w/sauted mushrooms, onions and cheese. Cottage cheese and 8 blackberries, 2 cups of coffee w/clear metamucil, truvia, half and half and cinnamon. and of course all my vitamins and Barleans.
Lunch: 3 wasa crackers w/cream cheese on 1, gouda cheese on 1, and hummus on 1, with a small piece of turkey.
dinner: stir fry veggies w/tofu and shiritaki noodles seasoned w/curry and braggs.

Always keep a can of Redi Whip in the fridge so you can give yourself a squirt when you need something sweet. I did it twice yesterday!

Don't forget to post you weight progress and food ate. If you would like to join our weight loss progress chart to the right, just leave your info here and I will add it so we can help each other and cheer each other on.

Thanks for listening. Love to all of my BFC friends. Please leave your comments.

My thought for the day;
I just want to say how proud of all of you I am for having the courage to change your life so drastically. Just try to think about only today. Not yesterday - or tomorrow. This is kind of like AA for food.

Hello My name is Rosalie & I used to eat like a pig. :-)

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  3. That is such a cute story! Good for him! And YOU! I've been concentrating on workouts more than food this week but still keeping my carbs and sugar down. The scale went back into the 140's, thank goodness. For lunch I had Black Bean soup with Chicken followed a little later by a CarbRite Bar (0/2). Dinner is going to be steak or chicken with brussels sprouts!

  4. Awesome job for your hubby! Those are great numbers for a guy. Maybe a shopping trip as a reward would be nice. I recommend a pair of True Religion jeans for men from Nordstrom ;-)

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
