Wednesday of week 32: The Belly Fat Cure

Yesterday Hubby and I were running stupid errands for like 6 hours. I am not kidding. All we managed to accomplish was, he got a cover for his cell phone and we ate lunch at Chic-A-Fila. I have only been there once. I had a salad with grilled chicken and blue cheese dressing and croutons on top w/water.

Remember the shape-up's I bought not that long ago? Well I love them so much, I wear them ever evening when I walk. I wanted to buy the ones they have for walking and jogging. I thought I would give it a try (jogging). Yeah I know - that sound weird huh? I have never been able to run for more than a little bit, then I feel like I'm gonna die from hyper-ventilating. My heart beats real fast and I feel like I have to rest for at least 5 minutes.

Well, I feel so great after losing those 59 lbs (so far), that I thought I would give it a try. Just to see if I CAN!. Who knows maybe I can go even a whole block!! Not all the way around, just 1 side to start! LOL! I will keep you posted.

I wanted to tell you about when we were out yesterday. We were in the Ontario Mills Mall, just looking around. We went into the Wilson's leather store that said they were having a sale. I passed by a big store mirror, and I stopped. I looked at myself and turned to each side and said "Marion, Wow look at what I look Like now". He just kind of laughed and said "I know - I look at you every day". To tell you the - truth I was surprised at how good I look, cause I don't have a full mirror - just the ones in the bathroom.

I just kept staring at myself and said WOW! I didn't realize that I looked so Not Fat any more!! I felt like I was looking at someone else.

I was so tired when I got home, I could only go around once with the dogs. I usually walk with them, then put them home and go again by myself.

For dinner I made a piece of salmon and some stir fry veggies and put it all on a plate and only ate half. And of course my 2 squares of Lindt 85% dark chocolate.

My weight for the past 2 days had been 179 lbs. I hope I can go down 1/2 lb every 2 days or so, that way I can reach my goal of 150 lbs by the end of the year.

  3. How fun to look at yourself in the mirror and actually feel HAPPY - so many people (including me) want that feeling so bad. That is great! I am sure you will reach your goal, too. We went to Chik Fil A yesterday for dinner. I had the Chicken Strips Salad with ranch, and it was just 2 carbs and 2 sugars total. YUM!

  5. THAT WAS AN AMAZING AH HA MOMENT!!! WoW I'm so happy for you!!! My sis and I were just talking yesterday about all those years we were 130 - 150 lbs and hated our bodies...now we look back at those pics and say WOW I wish I had that body again! Now...because of the BFC plan and peeps like you .. WE KNOW WE CAN!!! Thanks so much for sharing this with us Rosalie!!! You're the Bomb! (i know i know...so old school!) ~v*

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
